#paperclip
Honey this feels like forever,
And the youngest child never grows up.
These tears are not for a bright stage,
And this forest feels so endless.
Empty.
But if you’re afraid of these woods
Why not run in?
The wolves in there will welcome you
They were children once too.
Take some paperclips,
Cut yourself apart
And clip all the pieces back together.
You’ll never make someone so lovely.
Because darling it is worth it
To fall in love with yourself.
And who you are, who you were, who you will be.
Let it become the air in your lungs
The blood in your veins.
So if you’re afraid of the woods
Why not run in?
The wolves in there are friendly
They used to all be you.

Do not mind what a poet tells you,
it is an ellipsis, find the missing truth.
The title of an elder is not an umbrella
to shield a child's head from life's heavy rain.
When the storm comes, the child's head becomes
as empty as the facade of a hollow title.
Do not deceive when tomorrow's dawn foretells
the fate that awaits, like a burning forest's spell.
In that inferno, the bandits of deceit
are consumed by the flames, their power defeated.
Nothing lasts forever, for the world itself
is a fragile paperclip, destined to be folded into nothingness.

i opened your file
and what i saw
was diferent than what i expected;
i saw that you were
sad, pained,
angry, confused;
i turned the page.
you were suffering,
afraid, and alone;
i looked at your photo,
it was diferent than the you i knew,
you looked terified and sad;
i printed a new sheet of paper.
it said that i would be your friend.
that i would be your friend no matter what;
i fastened the new page in the folder
cautiosly, caringly,
with a paperclip.

Dear paperclip
You never slip
All day you hold
Documents untold
No one ever stops to thank
The one who is of little rank
But I shall stop and pay my dues
To the one who is now my muse
So thank you dearest friend
For all the help that you lend.

You pretend to zip your lips like
there's even a secret to spill,
as if i couldn't pry open
your mouth like a four
day old rusty paper-
clip
off an
empty
manila
folder
