I wanna write about our first date, Suddenly blinded by this twist of fate. I never thought we’d be running on borrowed time. I swear your lips felt as if they belonged against mine. Your smile lit up my life, warm like a crackling fire, Wordless passion made a feast of our mutual desire. Yet, your hands, they spoke of safety and softness and peace. Wrapped within your embrace, I found the sweetest release. The world would have us star-crossed, please, mi amor, don't accept that our future is lost. I still hold on to the dream, the one of you and me. A steady candlelight vigil, a flame of hope, in my heart for only you to see. Though it aches and cries for our stolen melody. I still hold on to our dream, the one of you and me. Minutes feel like hours, days toil like years. Every moment passing, I wish I could ease your fears. I want to be your safe place, where you can finally breathe. I want to be your comfort, not just someone you'll be forced to leave. You taught me words and shared your ways, I was counting down the days. Piojito, a soothing caress. Running my fingers lightly through your hair and down your back to chase away your stress. The other part of me was found in you the moment we met. I was yours without yet knowing, there’s no way I can forget. Your voice drowned out the static, always putting me at ease. Those dark eyes reflected promises and made me so eager to please.

singleness
And you made me bow my head down in admiration! The wound of the sword began to heal when your eyes fell on me... O soul, what potion did your eyes contain? That made me feel at home... That touched my soul even before I knew what your hands felt like! I knew nothing about you yet I knew everything... It was as if you plundered my universe and stripped me naked to the core... Remember me always... I will love you till eternity! And one day we will meet... The greatest day of our lives... For our ignited souls will find solace in each other!                   ~V.Venandi

The other half
You were my favorite candle You had such a bright light One day I seen your light going dimmer and dimmer Until one day, your light burned out That’s when I knew you were forever gone

I can’t see you with anyone else it hurts so bad, it gets me so mad, I hate it when they try move to you, it makes me feel so blue, I miss you so much, I’m craving that soft touch, I hate that we’re no longer together, I’m hoping things will get better..

I miss you
Well great goodness, where on Earth do I start? The Garden of Eden  … or the bottom of my heart? How can I make this as honest and heartfelt as I can? How would I share with every woman in the world, the emotions of every man? Yes, we hold them in. It's about pride. It's about standing tough. But you'd really not have us any other way … you love to polish what's rough. And we really love you, make no mistake, to you we are forever beholden. We'll not forget those meals and those band aides and all those clothes gently folden. You taught us to tie our shoes and look after our sisters and brothers. And that unless we are standing for something correct, we must always be kind to others. From you we learned that women are our partners, other halves and mothers-to-be. Which leads my poem in another direction … as I continue my praises with glee. Our wives took up where our mothers left off and carry our hearts in their hands. They made us soup when sick, bore us amazing children and walked beside us in the sand. They undressed us when drunk, both for fun and when it was needed. And stood understanding when we failed miserably, as their warnings went blindly unheeded. No matter our place in failure, glory or fame, they were always standing by our side. No matter our outfit, five o'clock shadow, even our beer belly … they always stand there with pride. And in the brave new age, where we all live, they now do things so amazing. They race cars, cure diseases, head up companies and set many trails a blazing! What would we do without these women from our birth to our end of days? How do we love them, now and forever? You simply can't count the ways!

I was living in the dark, With dancing demons around. Hopes and butterflies, None i found. Even the dark ; extinguished the stars. I was astound. And then, So bright and magnificent, The moon unveiled. With many scars, But still a beauty mark. Frightened the fear away. And enlightened the stars. 'Who are you' as I asked; Replied: 'Your other half.' ~Sweara Ahmed~

Other Half
my heart is a music box waiting for the person the person who is the holder of its key melodic and slightly jarring i draw people in hoping that the key i hold will unlock their heart like the ballerina on her stage I hope we will be like her glued to each other turning the key and letting our melody ring always knowing the way home

My Other Half
Ever since we met, The whole world seems brighter. That the darkness inside of me, Finally became lighter. You showed me what love means. And healed my broken heart. You did for me what no one could, And showed me I'm a work of art. I now know why it always felt, Something was missing from my life. Exactly why I never succeeded, When I was holding that knife. I was meant to find you one day, And I'm glad I finally did. My past demons are now history, And this I shalt not kid. You are the love of my life, And that will never change. I see you as incredible, Even if you think it's strange. You are my other half, Who I was destined to find. You make me feel complete, And to me you are one of a kind.

Baby, don't leave me alone, not even for a single day, I missed you while you were away, Have I just been thrown? Baby please, come back, please make me crack, My heart of scars and sorrow, Please break me again tomorrow. My tears of endless sadness, I cry for you, drenched in madness. Please break me again tomorrow.
