Time comes by, fleeting. Everything is changing. The river that was once calm Now sings a mournful psalm. From the hustle of the leaves To the whistle of the furious wind, Reminds me how everything has frayed. It is now time to leave. It seems only yesterday I was in the comfort of your softest embrace, Smelling the fragrance of a playful day. Now, I must face the awaiting menace. Hardly any light, I follow the route. Where it may lead, I’ll soon find out. The sweet joy of old times will be as valuable as a dime, Kept inside the pocket of a troubled traveler.

Farewell, Old Friend
In the intricate tapestry of love, the adage "once a cheater, always a cheater" weaves a cautionary thread. It is a phrase laden with the weight of experience, a mantra that whispers of broken trust and shattered vows. When someone treads the path of betrayal, leaving the fragments of a once-whole heart in their wake, the scars run deep. The echoes of deceit reverberate in the corridors of love, leaving those who have been wounded hesitant to trust again. The notion, "once a cheater, always a cheater," emerges as a defense mechanism, a shield against the vulnerability of being deceived once more. Yet, in the realm of love, the narrative isn't always so black and white. People evolve, learn from their mistakes, and yearn for redemption. It's crucial to acknowledge the capacity for change within each individual. While the wounds of betrayal may linger, they need not dictate the course of someone's entire romantic journey. The human experience is multifaceted, and relationships are complex landscapes. People stumble, fall, and sometimes, they rise anew, reshaped by the crucible of their own errors. Love, at its essence, encompasses forgiveness, growth, and the possibility of second chances. So, while the cautionary phrase carries the weight of wisdom, it is equally important to recognize the potential for transformation. People can break free from the chains of their past misdeeds, learn to value trust, and construct relationships founded on honesty and integrity. Love, after all, is as much about healing as it is about the initial spark. In the end the tale of "once a cheater, always a cheater" is not a universal truth but rather a reminder that love demands conscientious navigation. It prompts us to approach relationships with discernment, to treasure the fragility of trust, and to foster an environment where growth and change are not only possible but celebrated.

In Siem Reap, Cambodia, after a reflective tour of the temples, a boat took us sailing.....to see houses standing on stilts....i never expected to sail on an endless lake.....the man at the helm bended...he reached for something, and let go of the wheel...a young boy, who seemed to be his son.......quickly grabbed the steering wheel. from that moment on, he took over...his hands were small but, capable....when i thought, our boat would hit an unseen rock or land, it didn't. he took us to our destination and back...safely. obviously, the boy was trained young..he knew   every curved path of his surroundings...he was aware.....cared about their source of livelihood, proved a child can be relied on....they're more reliable than adults, at times, despite their play ful innocence....many times, i reflected on that boat ride, that boy's unflinching face and hands i asked myself over and over,  "could i steer my boat the way that boy did?  am i navigating my self rightly, even on life's odd waters?.....have i   ever helped steer reeling boats before? brought (them back to safer shores?.........not just mine?) \:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::/    \:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::/      \:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::/        \:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sally © Rosalia Rosario A. In the cosmic quiet of A solitary dream, I swam through the stars Navigating upstream.

Cosmic Quiet
I'm trying to navigate through life, but the roads are iced over and this vehicle wasn't built for the treachery of snowy slopes. My tires turn at odd angles, oscillating wildly in their attempt to catch some semblance of traction. But the snow bank is getting closer and no matter how I twist the wheel I can't seem to steer away from what seems to be impending impact.
