You said you would forget me— like restless waves upon the sea, crashing in the eyes. You said— in the city of love, now turned to ashes, you fear to walk again, lest one spark burn your heart once more. You fear— oh, how deeply you fear— not man, but the shadow of man. A small man, a small life— is it light behind the shadow, or shadow behind the light? Simple words falter upon the lips— what I wish to say, what I end up saying. You said: Do not return. In the heavy black monsoon of sorrow, you walked away. But will your rain-soaked grief ever fall again, Beloved? Today I am like a star, veiled in clouds— dimmed, lost to myself. A wandering soul, burning with the desire to exist within your existence. And yet— I will sit and wait on the riverbank of life. If you wish, you may return once more, sailing across in the boat of longing.

You Said You Would Forget
This boundless ocean, the world, we sail, Where roses bloom with memories frail. O' sparks of beauty, how I ache to see, The light of your gaze, if it turns to me. If your eyes rise, in their celestial grace, The heavens would tremble, shadows erase. My tongue, soaked in melodies sweet, Would sing of your name in waves, complete. Your smile, a garden where angels tread, The key to paradise, the path we’re led. The blood of my heart, like wine of the vine, Pours forth in longing, forever divine. Is this the miracle of your sacred face, Or the world’s eternal, fleeting trace? Tell me, beloved—who’s the bloom, Is it you or I, in this garden’s room?

In the Garden of Love and Light
The universe is a fractured manuscript, a cathedral of paper where clocks split open like ripe pomegranates, their seeds spilling hours that scuttle across the floor like exiled prophets. The sky is not sky but parchment, its blue merely ink stretched thin, and when it tears, it bleeds corridors of fire, revealing an orchestra of teeth gnawing elegies into the marrow of the stars. Time is a serpent disguised as a staircase, each step a funeral folded inside a birth, a carousel of mirrors that shatter into oceans, where every wave forgets its own name. Dreams drip from the rafters like honey made of shadows, their taste both hymn and wound. To sip them is to crown illusions with eternity, to mistake collapse for revelation, to eulogize the silence between collapsing galaxies as if it were a love song. We are chandeliers made of bone, :) swinging above the banquet of nothingness, our lungs filled with moths, our ribs singing like stained glass windows fractured by lightning. And when the final architecture crumbles— when the mirrors eat themselves, when the serpent swallows its last echo, when the sky folds back into the mouth of its first silence— we will stand incandescent, not as bodies but as metaphors of fire, absurd, impossible, holy, burning in the grammar of a dream too vast to awaken from.

Clocks of Pomegranite
A frenzy stirs within the realm of the Beloved, Where every glance sets all creation moved. The goblets overflow, yet thirst finds delight, For in Thy presence, soul and spirit unite. Laughter and sighs weave a sacred spun thread, Each heartbeat drunk with the love that Thou spread. No shadow may linger, no sorrow remain, Only Thy fire, like sun after rain. The cups may be empty, yet spirits ascend, Drunk on Thy nectar that knows no end. Every breath is a prayer, each pulse a flame, In Thy embrace, I am lost to my name. O’ Beloved, let this revel endure, In Thy holy realm, all hearts find their cure. Let ecstasy pour like rivers divine, Till every spark of being is wholly Thine.

Celebration in the Realm
Sun-fire clasping moonlight, a covenant older than breath, where king and queen entwine in the mandorla of becoming. Here is no fracture— but the furnace where opposites melt, gold with silver, spirit with flesh, shadow kissed into flame. This is the marriage of eternity: the holy wound made whole, the cosmos circling within the heart, the Self awakening, whispering: I am all, and all is one.

Syzygy
What a spark, what a flame, when these eyes first saw, The dance of light, the world without flaw? When these hands, born of clay and dust, Poured forth warmth, a gift, a divine trust? When the tongue, a prisoner of silence so deep, Broke free with a word, a promise to keep? What sweetness filled these humble ears, When the first sound stirred the heart’s silent fears? When this tiny heart, so full of desire, Met belief like a spark to an unlit fire? When the lips of this child, kissed by the dawn, Smiled at the world, and all sorrow was gone? When the body, this vessel of earthly woe, Was styled by love’s hand, a graceful glow? What a moment, what a scene, O’ Jamil, I ask, Could such be the work of a gene—or love’s mask?

The Mask of Creation
Beyond the stars, beyond the sky, Where galaxies in silence lie, Beyond the Solar System's glow, Where endless constellations flow. A Light transcends the cosmic sea, A flame from realms of mystery. In niche so deep, unseen, untold, A lamp does glow with light of gold. Encased within a glass so pure, Its brilliance ever to endure. A star, a pearly, trembling gleam, A light that whispers, dreams that beam. Not born of east nor west's embrace, Yet shines within a boundless space. Beyond the galaxies that spin, Beyond the Universe’s skin. Beyond all creation, time and place, A light that fills the endless space. The source of all that ever was, A truth beyond all earthly laws. From olive tree, so blessed and bright, The oil ignites the endless night. Untouched by flame, it flickers true, A glowing fire, yet always new. Light upon light, a sacred dance, In endless glow, no time, no chance, For in His light, the worlds align, Eternal, vast, divine, divine. A truth beyond all mortal reach, A radiance bright, no words can teach, His light, His love, beyond the skies, Is where the soul in union flies. Beyond the bounds of time and space, Beyond all realms, beyond all grace, A flame eternal, burning bright, A luminous force that guides the night. God's light is in Surah An-Nur (24:35): "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp inside of glass, the glass as if it were a pearly white star, lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is All-Knowing of everything." (24:35)
