You keep telling yourself that its nothing
But then she smiles and - hey look there’s something
She lies to herself again and hides her fears
Saying its normal cause you know each other’s for years
But let me tell you this ….
Friends don't call you in the middle of the night
Without a good reason why
They don’t suddenly be by your side
Telling you they just felt like saying "hi"
Friends don't stay after the break of dawn
Finding random reasons to stay
They don’t drive little too slow around town
When they could have just taken the highway
They don't almost say "I love you"
When they had a little too much to drink
They don’t know the other’s shampoo
No matter what you may think
Friends don’t do anything of this
But we both know we do
So, for once let us just take the risk
Cause I know you do, and I love you too
