#mourned
Under the shimmering sun, fingers intertwined, We looked at kids with water guns, running in the blind. dancing in endless laughter, Our eyes were drowned; Yet I can’t see the color that paints you around. Alas, I found myself in bed mourning for the hands; The ones that were in my head turned into the sands.

Mourned hands
Slow burn towards that hallowed kiss, The months it took to take you there. Like hope itself upon your lips, Such joyful lovers bliss. Short term passion in that fragile time, The years it took to leave you there. Love's regret entwines our lives, So powerful broken ties. Tom Lefort 2025

When we were true
Mourned are the times we so loved but lost, Wasted are the words we spoke in years forgot; Regrets now all that bind as one our fractured hearts, Broken be our lives yet still entwined by lovers knots. TS Lefort 2017
