— Navigating Life —
***
Life is a journey,
not a straight road but one that turns;
we learn to accept the detours
as they guide us forward
forward into the busy noise of life,
where everything feels rushed and unclear;
yet in the middle of it all
we can still find calm moments
moments held in fragile hearts,
beating alongside brave souls;
a quiet balance between struggle and strength,
where we learn to keep going
going along life’s winding path,
filled with love, joy, and sorrow;
each step tells a story
and shapes who we become
becoming someone through change,
because life grows through new seasons;
in endings that lead to new beginnings
and lessons that teach us to let go
letting go, we find ourselves again
on the same winding road;
life is a journey that continues
and we still choose to embrace the detours

— Learning as We Go —
***
We move through life with open hearts,
dancing through moments we don’t fully understand,
understand that even in uncertainty we are guided,
guided by something deeper than we can explain.
Explain the shadows and we begin to see their meaning,
meaning found in the lessons they quietly hold,
hold onto them and they begin to shape us,
shape us as life shifts like changing seasons.
Seasons turn and we learn to let go,
go forward into days we did not expect,
expect storms to come and test our strength,
strength that asks us to become the calm.
Calm in the middle of all that rushes around us,
around us are small moments waiting to be noticed,
noticed in the simplest and quietest ways,
ways that remind us where beauty truly lives.
Lives are shaped by paths we’ve yet to walk,
walk them and we discover who we are becoming,
becoming through change we cannot avoid,
avoid nothing, because it all helps us grow.
Grow like a flame that flickers in the dark,
dark only until its light begins to show,
showing us that even the briefest moments matter,
matter enough to guide us along the way.

Gifts surround us,
hidden in plain sight
Remember to pause
and see the light
All moments
hold a chance to feel
Treasures found
in wounds that heal
Inward peace
begins with thanks
Time slows down
between life’s ranks
Unspoken joy
in morning’s due
Daily grace
in all we do
Every breath
a sacred view

Distractions
They turn a man into a lazy soul,
a responsible citizen into a careless one,
a meritorious student into the disobedient,
and a kind heart into something selfish.
They **** righteousness,
while building a false sense of self-esteem.
They drown us in the unnecessary—
a flood of moments we never asked for.
Distractions feel comforting when we’re caught in them,
but they leave us with regret the moment we step away.
Keeping them at a distance
is the first step toward change—
toward becoming who we were always meant to be.

Don’t rely on others to make you happy.
People change. Circumstances shift. Expectations hurt.
Instead, learn to find your own little ways to enjoy life —
a walk under the sky,
a song that speaks your soul,
a dream you quietly chase,
a moment of peace you gift yourself.
Because real happiness?
It blooms within — not from someone else,
but from you.

Don’t let a day to come in your life when you grieve on your past days for not using them wisely.

Life hits different in adulthood,
A storm of thoughts,
Silent whispers in the wind.
The power to be you,
A hidden flame, glowing bright.
The power within you,
An unyielding force, taking flight.
Time with you,
Moments carved from the sands of life.
Time to be you,
Embracing shadows, shedding strife.
Happiness to be you,
A garden blooming in the heart.
Happiness within you,
A quiet dawn, a work of art.

The whistle sounded, the train chugged
The journey began as many unplugged
Fates were rested on solid tracks
Scraps of iron responsible for their backs
Compartmentalised boxes carried varying stories
Some call it a divide, others settle for categories
Some boxes resplendent with ornaments and gilding
Others modest with unembellished finishings
Whatever the setting, the views didn't discriminate
One only had to look out if one had to rejuvenate
The landscapes never spoke, but the passengers listened
As if nature's lyrics were intently written
Each swayed by the drama of their lives
On a journey assumed with predestined stops
No one saw an impending halt
On unfinished tracks and an unexpected drop
If unspoken words were to be exchanged,
What would they have been
If unasked questions were to be answered,
Would they have freed one from within
