With thunders and lighting,
We bid farewell to the home,
Deserving the European chrome.
The rivals celebrated the win,
We wept in deep sorrow,
Not of defeated, Neither humiliation,
It was something far important,
Our home, died, on a night
even the sky cried.
The night, we won,
Yet lost everything we had,
There was deep sorrow somewhere,
In a city lit up with festive joy,
Thats where Vicente Calderon was,
The home to Los RajiBlancos.

I have wandered among these sidewalks for lifetimes,
I have made a home out of busy sidewalks and small patches of dying grass
I meander with past friends in the middle of empty roads,
With no destination in mind.
I’ve lived amongst thousands of others,
We pass each other daily
Greeting each other with shy smiles and a brief nod
To part and never unite again
I have interacted with this city through the earth
I walk its roads until I can no longer feel my legs,
And I shall continue
Until I have mapped out every inch of my home
This city consists of my raw emotions;
I will always carry this city with me
No matter which new streets I may roam,
No matter which new sidewalks I may take solace in.

We stopped at Madrid base camp
and I put the book
back in my duffle bag

in the bag
we walked
to a base camp cafe
and ordered burgers
and cokes and sat
at a table together
who you sharing

whom he hates

Atletico’s progress to this stage has been somewhat sloppy to say the least, following a second leg showing at the Vicente Calderon which allowed minnows CE L’Hospitalet to walk away with an historic 2-2 draw.
