Not my strongest work,
but this is my first poem since March.
Irrational fears
Sometimes, I look up at the stars and ask "where do I go from here?"
But the only answers that are ever offered
Come from my Irrational fears

a ****** of Crows
gather Carpe Diem;
fluffing their throat feathers,
commiserating
the dead-weight
each unshod foot
bending the world below
the horde of cleft feet align
leaving no footprint behind ―
bowing the antique
frayed telephone wire
party-line swaying with the wind
over the washed out road;
at any moment
the land-line
might break
from the overload ―
downcast,
abandoned,
level with the ground ―
but no one
on earth
even cares ...
they've got
the whole world
in their palm
beneath the sky ―
and the crows
have wings
to fly away ...
harlon rivers

When you look up,
You may have your hopes up.
It's okay to dream,
It's okay to to boost your self-esteem.
This creation of God,
Is the best thing we ever had.
When you look at the sky,
You should not cry, instead,
You should put up a smile.

You, yes you.
The one with the broken smile.
No, look up, your beautiful for who you are.
I don't care how you look, or where you came from,
You Are Beautiful.
Despite what others may say,
You Are Beautiful.
Even though you may feel blue,
You Are Beautiful.
Just listen to me through the pain.
You Are Beautiful.
Your gender, race, past, do not have any hold on you anymore because,
You Are Beautiful.
I know the voices may say something else but,
You Are Beautiful.
I know you may roll your eyes but truly I know,
You Are Beautiful.
You may look in the mirror and see a disgusting mess, but your not,
You Are Beautiful
You may feel like a mess, but look up,
You Are Beautiful.
Through the loss, through the pain, through the ups and downs,
You Are Beautiful.
You have done more than you think, don't hang your head,
You Are Beautiful.
Despite the mistakes you may have made, or the cuts on your wrist,
You Are Beautiful.
You may feel anger, sadness, pain, lost, hopeless, but you should feel like,
You Are Beautiful.
There's no disguising the fact, that,
You Are Beautiful.

Daily mine jane, I seest thy steps,
As thy feet traipse the jungle grounds; shh, deep breath mine
Love, God walks beside thee,
Where loneliness is not found.
Durst the day, durst the ground;
Show the world what light is,
Where light does not abound.
Let none take thy crown,
Wherein it hast many jewels;
Thou art a saint, so dont be late
For the wedding plates set up,
Unused.
O' jane mine muse, the clock hast struck twelve, the trumpet shalt soon blow, I hear all the saints yell.
He's coming, he's coming,
O' verily tis true; look up
To the cloud's, yeshua's
Calling is soon.
In the moment, in the twinkling of an
Eye, the bride of christ (the church)
Oh dear jane wilt we fly.
Wilt we fly, O' Wilt we fly,
Be ready mine dear, smile
Jane, do smile; hush
None fears.

i.
Gramercy, it hast been one year now, one year of smiles, laugh's, cry's; growing together, growing
Wing's in ourn flight.
ii.
Fain I am, to seest thee at night, slumbering as a newborn, queen
Of orbiting light's, woman of mine
Insight; sagittiferous to mine
Burden's of life.
iii.
Let me clear away that vultuous countenance mine girl.
iv.
We art namelings, with ourn letter's hewed into the highest realm, noscible to the Angel's; we
We're recorded on God's
Film.
v.
Perantique we art, as we battle the being's that fell, they've broken their iron locked doorway's; to make their way out of hell.
vi.
Stand close to mine side, I canst heareth those wedding Bell's, I canst feeleth the earth to swell, as the labor pain's art now.
vii.
This place shalt sway and moan, like a drunkard without a home, the living in Christ shalt rise; with the dead already rose, silver an treasures shalt come to naught,
Home good's and store bought,
For men won't grasp their own
Thought's; as the misfortune
Cometh upon them. Lover's wilt
Love themselves, they'll seeketh life
In the devil's Lip's; for the lies he speaks art quick, powerful,
Deceiving, cunning.
viii.
Look on high mine Jane, ourn lord is coming, the globe is spinning to the drum of celestial prophecy;
None stopping wilt be, yet we art free, a king and queen with a heavenly home, with mansion's
To roam, streets followed with
Gold, with like-minded souls;
Awaiting ourn entrance.
This one year wilt lead
To an eternal precipice,
In which we shan't miss,
As all wilt take focus;
For we hath life, mine Jane
Ourn hope is this;
One son of God
Who goes by the name
Jesus; ourn hope and ourn
Reason even more to be one,
To showeth another and all
The Savior's dying love, and in him
Salvation alone, fret not mine lass, soon we shalt go home, soon all ourn waiting wilt be gone, and ourn hand's shalt hold.
Two spirit's to be;
One love,
One soul.
look up
Look up
The time is now close......

There are nights just like tonight were i can't read, or draw, or sleep, or even breath. I cant do anything and i feel like I'm going to die. I try to do anything to go to sleep but it's no use because i physically cant do it. But then on those nights without fault there well be bright stars, cool air, and this amazing feeling of openness.
Once when i couldn't take that feeling anymore i looked out the window and saw the front yard.; the street lights were reflecting the wet lawn. I walked out and you asked me why, i told you because its beautiful, and you didn't understand so you followed me out and as i layed down in the street you asked me what was so beautiful because again you didn't understand and i told you that it was the dizzy feeling you get when you stare at endlessnes. But you didn't hear me because you were telling me to get to bed. When i got up i saw you looking at the ground while walking back. Kicking a rock.
Maybe in a world with so much saddness it it better not to ask questions,
Maybe it is better not to look up.

Looking up high, found a steel tower
Wondering how would it feel, If I fall down
Was it dream? I saw deep red.
Looking down below from top of the tower,
Fear takes over my heart and my knees won't stop shaking
Then I realize I'm falling down...
And now I'd be flying high to the sky,
Lifting me to the yonder,
Something brought me here so far from home,
but I'm not cold at all.

I wish that someday,
People will raise their heads,
From their phone screens,
And look up at the fleeting blue sky.
And just marvel at it.
With their eyes.
Not through their instagrams,
Not through their camera lens,
Not through the reflection on their screen.
I wish people would just free themselves,
From social media.
The impulsive need to be on the now,
The relentless need to stalk someone or something.
I wish people would just live for a second,
Without being bowed to a device
That clearly controls
Every aspect of their freedom.

a savior to the fallen,
they see you as a guardian
angel.
flying lowly;
kissing the noses of those
looking up for
a sole fragment
of promise.

Hard to live with all of this weight, when it gets rough I begin to hate, follow me there is all that I hear, it's not so easy and that's what I fear, hold my strength with full grip, this path is wet so I can't slip, tear my face to endless pleasure, time right now is hard to measure, steal a cloud and take that walk, life is real and that's my shock, even ice is oh so brittle, take me there or shrink me little......

I gaze up at these stars
Are you looking too?
They make me think of you...
I remember the warmness of you playing against the coolness of the grass dewed
Air so cooled, I watched your puffs of breath get taken away by me
I swear I felt your heart beat shake the ground we layed upon
Was it your scent that intoxicated me?
Or that crisp air spinning my head around
Or was it my thoughts.... Of you?
Those stars scarred the inward parts of me
Burned the memory on me...
Of you...

“it’s going to be okay”
they always say
that it’s going to be okay.
You always say,
“you’re going to be okay.”
So sure, of course,
it will be O.K.
My best friend has died,
they weep.
But you say,
it will all be okay.
“you’re going to be sick for the rest of your life.”
(you have seven new diagnosis)
they say.
but.
“it’s going to be okay”
you say.
You whisper
"I don't feel okay."
But of course,
it will be okay.
I lost my will to live
you say
But, really, trust them.
everything is okay.
Okay.
I'm fine.
You'll say again.
Because you know it's best to just give in
to the fake positivity
Or delusional sincerity.
that it's going to be okay.
A broken heart is nothing new
You're going to be okay.
And
"Tomorrow will be better"
they say.
You will find new love one day
they say.
One day one that will stay.
Because hey,
in every heartbreak
there is a new day
it’s going to be okay.
we can cry for the past,
we could mourn today.
You can hate tomorrow
and you can loathe today.
but not for long
it will be okay.
look towards the future,
because there is one, okay?
There is light in the darkness
and there is hope in today.
It will be okay.
