My mask covers me For my sins Because I am wicked Do not look at me This mask I bear Brings me shame Relying on myself Is all I can do Remembering love is worthless All my sin Placed in a bottle All my tears How much more do we deserve? An unfailing love that is pure and genuine Such a thing exists According to God Eternal life and everlasting joy are given to those who believe in Him A new life, a new mask A different perspective

The Masks of Humanity
We are called out for the mission To give of love without condition Some are called to the foreign land But all are to be his feet and hands Where words fall silent, love speaks To find a home is what the heart seeks Our own homes can be the mission field Our towns and communities to be healed Preach with conviction, with peace, not rage The voice of a prophet and wisdom of a sage They will see your joy and how it is portrayed In the face of persecution, you stand unafraid If they question, they are open If they are open turn them not away Pray for them and with them I will break their hearts of stone Until they beat for me alone Each of us has a mission should we accept it Something to reach out right where we are At work, in town, or riding in your car Each gifted uniquely for a special role And what a gift to uplift another human soul To care for the widows and orphans The forgotten and the oppressed The stranger and the refugees To work and know the work is blessed Each of us is on a mission to do the work of God Just don't expect the whole world to applaud Sow the seeds of faith and hope The seeds of charity and love The wisdom of God was spoken Like an echo from above

For the Mission
Months after his passing I was broken, beat, and bruised I don't know what to feel As I sat in silence in a dark room Demons haunt me I hear their voices Life in general was pointless So I thought suicide was the option Sleepless nights Heavy thinking I hear my demons over and over again No point in living anymore Death has found me And it wants me to take my life as I broke down I see shadows of my past With a hint of blood I've seen my own shadows They walk in dark pastures As they head to the Valley of Shadow of Death My eyes are set to close as I breathed heavily Until one day There was a light of hope gazing through my eyes I see a hand reaching out to me With a voice saying "My son, come back to me" I broke down in tears As I held His hand with my blood all over He spoke to me and said "You are loved by My love" I repented for what I did And after hearing His voice and holding His hand I found the courage to keep on living And endure the journey no matter what the circumstances I have finally broken my silence With open wounds, dry blood, and a used knife My eyes were staring at my limbs I broke down in tears with agony I knew I am loved by a God who loves me for who I am I just didn't see it After months of agony I have found a reason why I deserve to live
