it feels like i have been waiting for a hundred years//we have been together since we were teens//i watched you become a man//you stayed by my side and loved me// it’s been several years now//and i am starting to question marriage// if 50% of marriages end in divorce—- maybe—- i don’t want to risk you// maybe the state itself is a curse// i cant figure out what is different between that and our relationship// other than a title change—- maybe I should keep you the way we are now

State of Transition
The waters have parted An unwished dream comes to fruition Will I stay dry If I stand in the partition Should I leave my things behind And risk my old life for a new Can I safely stand in between Or will the walls conjoin and renew Leaving me tossing and drowning in the middle Wishing I had stayed back on the shore Where my life was stable, standing on flat land Always wishing for more I just see a life on the other side of the sea Feeling like that side is better and fit for me But Moses isn’t here to assist me through What would you do?

Red Sea of Love
You wrapped your arm around me, And gave an unexpected squeeze, So firm, so affectionate, so sure, It tickled my heart. I still feel the tickles from yester-night, Tingling across my chest, Trickling down into my stomach, Sending giggles down my spine. I long for another hug.
