Two agonising months of consuming grotesque materials.
We've witnessed horrifying scenes of babies dying without their parents,
Parents carrying the lifeless bodies of their children,
Children fleeing their homes with their petrified pets,
Pets and animals cowering in the shadows,
Innocent beings caught in the crossfire of barbaric human madness.
Yet, you argue, "Social media is an unreliable source of news."
I say, "What in the world of cognitive dissonance?!"
You argue, “It’s a matter of perspectives; there are multiple truths.”
I say, “Postmodernism didn't come into existence to justify atrocities against civilians.”

I stand with the truth where history didn’t only start on October 7th, 2023.
I stand with the truth where instead of babies dying in the hospital alone,
They get to grow up healthily with their parents.
I stand with the truth where instead of parents burying their deceased children,
They carry their children home because they fell asleep in the car.
I stand with the truth where instead of children leaving their homes with trembling animals in their arms,
They run around and play fetch with their pets in the backyard.
I stand with the truth where starving pets no longer wait at their bombed homes,
wondering where their families went.
I stand with the truth where we live in a world where
compassion triumphs over cruelty,
love prevails over hatred,
and justice conquers over oppression.

This world is now fractured, split threefold,
It houses supporters of genocide, their hearts ice-cold,
The apathetic, their eyes covered with a blindfold,
Believers of humanity, their fighting spirits bold.
To supporters of genocide:
This world is now fractured, your values strayed,
Greed overshadows compassion, your morals dead,
Humanity weeps, its essence betrayed,
In the face of cruelty, a morality decayed.
To the apathetic:
This world is now fractured, mainstream media filled with lies,
Across social media, images and videos strewn, the deafening cries,
Innocent lives under rubbles, someone's kin, dying before your eyes,
I wonder if your avoidance is unprocessed pain in disguise.
To believers of humanity:
This world is now fractured, yet you remain undefeated,
Undeterred, in struggles deeply seated,
Your resilience shines, a flame, not to be depleted,
May humanity prevail as we journey with those who are maltreated.
