Describe me, paint me,
using only the colors of the sky and sea.
Draw motion, drama, expression;
sit me down and show me who I am.
Tell me my flaws as you see them,
show me the angles my body has,
the dents, the edges, the marks,
and carve them out of stone.
Mold me and my smile,
guide my cheeks and blush them red,
detail my eyes, give them life or death,
I am yours to keep.
Allow me to prove Intelligent Design,
arrange me with care and effort,
add freckles where you've kissed me,
and sign your name in invisible ink.
Then, prop me up in front of glass,
leave me to glare and pick and smudge,
then drown me in holy water,
and wash it all away.

I close my eyes and
Try to imagine all the
Impossible things—
The things that God has
Done that I simply can’t wrap
My little head ‘round—
The continents He’s
Designed, the canyons forged and
The rivers that He
Made to flow, all the
Flowers He taught to grow that
Bloom in their seasons.
The world sings of the
Power of God, of the One
Creator of all.
This world He did sculpt
All for us with His perfect
Paintbrushes of love.
