Oh, my ruinous, one-sided love—
What a restless, ungrateful, unwavering mind I drag through the days,
summoning unattainable, unrelenting visions of you
in the quiet hours where hope goes to die.
Even sleep turns traitor,
dragging me through unaddressed, unadvised dreams—
each one another blade with your name etched into its edge.
And still, I carry this consumed, unconditional, unfulfilled heart—
a heart that insists on dancing for you alone,
though it was never invited, never wanted,
and punished every time it tries.
Why do my insides refuse obedience?
Why do they cling to your ghost,
keeping your essence alive within me
as if madness were their purpose?
My mind replays the sweet sound of your laughter.
My heart beats in rhythm with every breath you take,
as though it belongs to you.
My eyes close to escape you—
yet again I am betrayed,
forced to see you where you are not.
My ears echo only your voice.
My nose, traitorous, breathes your scent long after you're gone.
My mouth whispers praises of you,
offering counsel for your troubled loves,
as if its only wish is to speak your name
instead of kissing you the way no one else can.
My skin burns with wanting you;
no touch feels complete without the ache of yours.
Even my bones—those actors, those liars—
pretend they do not tremble in your presence,
pretend they alone keep me upright
so I do not collapse beneath this maladaptive love
I cannot seem to shed.
So please—
for whatever scraps of sanity remain—
leave me.
Erase yourself from the corridors of my memory and my senses,
so I may crawl away from this unbearable,
unrequited love that devours me.
You have woven yourself
into an impossible knot beneath my ribs—
tangled into sinew, thought, and breath,
cutting, hurting, breaking, bleeding me,
as if wrought from barbed wire and longing.
What a merciless, exquisite torment you have become—
a masterpiece of pain wearing the face I love.
And now, with an unwilling mind
and an unsound heart,
I begin the slow, necessary, brutal, tender labor
of detangling you
from the deepest, most foolish parts of my soul—
the parts that whisper your name
even as I bleed you out and try to replace you.
Get out of me, shadow—be gone.
I beg, I plead with this uncaring body—
let me live in loneliness;
I think it would be kinder than feeling this.
I refuse to be haunted by my one-sided love for you, woman—
the woman I am destined never to have,
no matter how fiercely my body and soul yearn.
I must learn how to expel you from me—
manually pry you out, if I must.
I am tired.
Drained.
And I have finally reached the point
where I am the one who no longer wants you.
If my pain has gone unseen,
if my devotion has remained untouched,
then you have not paid me the love and attention I freely gave.
It has derailed me long enough.
I deserve to be loved and cared for with equal passion.
So I resign—
from this unreciprocated torment
my body clung to far too long.
I begin, at last, the slow unbinding of you,
the careful untangling of shadow from sinew,
leaving behind only the hollow echo of your absence.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth,
No man ought to look up
But down on which he is given.
Heywood, ever hear of the Trojans?
Or is that thye pun
On the stupidity of the common person?
But, then nobility repeats it?
Hey, look at me!
I know my history!
I'm so educated that I know better!
That a coward correctly surmised
That a cat may look on a king
Is certainly no surprise.
The more haste, the less speed;
Rush-in over your head,
And regret you did not faster think.
Wedding is destiny,
And hanging likewise.
To be married to such ideals,
I would rather swing.
For when I gave you an inch,
You took an ell.
I gave you a slighting
And you reached for arms.
Now, you tell me;
Did I say these things?
One man's interpretation
Is another man's insulting.

Sometimes, with a roll of the dice
A child receives a blessing that comes with a price
They can be born with the blessing of being smart
Yet in society, they'll always be apart
Who would've known that a bigger or stronger brain
Can make people think you're entirely insane
If you do one thing well in your prime
Then you'll be stuck doing that till the end of time
And if you ever try to quit
Why would you? You're good at it
There's so much pressure on you
That there's nothing you can look forward to
And if you get just one thing incorrect
There's something in your brain that needs to be checked
People will look up to you, but you're up there alone
Sitting down on your worthless diamond throne
And if you aren't better than only some
You're immediately characterized as dumb
Would you really want to feel so apart
Just so you could be a bit more smart?

How unrealistic the idealistic can be
And yet, there is still our commitment
To something far realer than any war-
When you realize it's what it's fought for.

When we see what some people are dishing out,
we know what Bertrand Russell was talking about:
"The stupid are cocksure, the intelligent full of doubt."
When you meet someone who thinks he's clever,
but seems much too confident in his endeavour,
and talks to you non stop and forever and ever.
When he acts like a prophet defying convention,
never admitting a lack of comprehension,
promptly has a cure for everything you mention.
When he hands out his advice on a silver platter
convincing you that his opinions matter,
you can be certain, he's as mad as a hatter.

Sometimes I feel like,
your mind could live a life of its own.
Few like yours are left now.
If only I could take your brain from your skull and
draw out the knowledge and the wonder,
squeeze it with mine,
our multi-faceted intelligence meshed together like a badly made clay sculpture.
Like a library of what is.
Then I could keep you forever.
It's just that I needed to know more before you left.

Behind a person's success is a sacrifice;
Would you love to know the tale behind?
Actors and actresses preparing their act,
But behind the curtains there's a hidden fact.
Heels and shoes are filled with shards of glass;
Behind dress and tuxedo's there's a hidden blast
— Withal on the lights, they genuinely smile.
Let's move on and see the richest person alive:
They lurk abaft the gallanting suits and tie;
No day their feet cannot step on bars of silvers and gold,
Constantly crediting the humanity's sliver of hope
— Supported by government for the economy's growth.
Do you know someone born to be Einstein's child?
—A person whose thought process is unbelievably wide,
“What are emotions?” They frequently asked;
“Are those things related to a logical fact?”
Feelings are hindrance towards a brighter side.
We all know the people whom we proclaimed as leaders—
Behind the tall, wide walls they silently titters:
“Citizens are corrupted with money and blind rights;
This nation will never survive in a war nor in childish fights.”
Some politicians bought their roles, drinking leisure on their seats.
And there's someone like me— a bit higher, on the top—
Words are magical, making an astonishing plot;
Thy pen bleeds thread, weaving a wondrous craft—
Who knows they withhold theirs and other people's life art,
They'll keep going as long as the threadmill continues to spin.
Their tales are narrated a bit later, a bit little;
But that was a telltale with lots of missing details,
Are you willing to share the secrets found in the middle?

Your talents and intelligent was a treasure.
You were a great artist even if you weren't sure.
You are a beautiful gift given by the heaven,
So put a smile that will struck a maiden.

Sometimes it feels
Ever so slightly annoying
Sometimes I just can’t
Be on my best behaviour
Life is a test,
I’m failing my papers
I want me dead
But that is for later
I am obsessed
There isn’t enough evidence
My worthlessness’s
Determined by my intelligence
Days. Weeks months: time
I’ll tell you that I’m feeling fine
My performances are only Fs
I WANNA TEAR EVERY LIGAMENT TO SHREDS
My heart is what broke
I sw**r I wouldn’t do it again
Knives, lemme **********
Can’t disappoint you if I am dead
"Get lost and never be found."
That’s what she said

sometimes it will be
seen with others of its
sort
and sometimes it
is seen without any of its
sort
the American Indians
have befriended
it
as they've felt an
affinity with
it
you might get a shiver
down your
spine
if you hear the sound
that it will

it is an animal of great
intelligence
and it also has a watchful
diligence
from the prairies
to the snow
country
it will tread a path
on their

You called me "gifted"
You forced an identity on me
If I wasn't smart, who was I?
I knew I would let you down
You taught me to box myself in
So I could take over when you left
And now here I am
No better than anyone else
Utterly lost and confused
I don't know who the hell I am
Because everything that made me
What you told me I was
I had to abandon
Because it was killing me
All those "gifts" that now I see
Were the result of nothing more
Than my ******* anxiety

knowledge is an ocean,
its vast and endless capacity
filled with many different things.
knowledge is a book,
it is filled with information,
begging to be read.
knowledge is a black hole,
its outer figure drags you in,
and holds you captive.
knowledge is a bookshelf,
you have many books of information,
and just one is not enough to satisfy.

God ensures everyone a shore
floating on the sea of the soul!
No stone is as solid
lying in any temple.
Light up the flame lay it on
the passage to the truthful
selfless human conscience.
Unleash from the unseen
the one true enduring origin!
The more one understands
the universe's more meaningful!
Hails from the one yet to expose
the utmost intelligent of all!

A confident man feels not a need to speak
on all things with which he does not agree
Though in the proper time and place
he is not afraid to assert his way
And though his words at times cause spurn,
he will admit when they are out of turn
Fearing not the inevitable mistake,
but rather owning it too late
Caring and feeling without hesitation
and not for reciprocal adulation
Emotions are expressed appropriately;
either subtlety or rationally
As honest with others as with himself;
recognizing what he does and doesn’t do well
Claiming to know what he does know
and asks when he don’t
Pursuing tasks for their benefit and or joy
rather than status or fleeting ploys
Those latter things are often great fun,
but worry of them yields none
While in his mind there is good thinking,
he is more occupied with good acting
In order to have concerns of the ideological,
requires labors that are practical
On his confidence, he does not ponder,
as neither he or anyone wonders
of whether he truly possesses it.
We know it.

What is being smart?
I've always wondered
Is it having innate talent?
Or being exceedingly knowledgeable?
Perhaps, having the skills to survive in one's society?
...
Is it a special skill?
Is it something that can be cultivated?
Is it limited to certain people?
...
So what is it?
...
...
...
I'd really like to know

The sound waves that emanate
from one's throat and mind
echo about;
freely through space and time
Whether those sound waves
are received by
intelligent life
is the real mystery?!

And he talked as if when morning came the sun would no longer shine. The way he talked about life and everything in it made the stars twinkle in perfect moonlight. The way he spoke of the things he loved like they were childhoood dreams come true made my heart dance like a ballerina through the mountains of endless hopes and dreams. And on this night my wish came true, my wish came true that I would meet someone just like you, with a mind so freeing... so beautiful.
