As the fireworks
Burst around in
Circles and all the
Different designs, the
Evening gets longer. So cheers
For all the
Good times we've
Had.
I wouldn't trade them for anything. It's
Just so bitter sweet.
Kids having the time of their lives,
Lost in time.
Memories in the making.
Noises of the summer.
Overwhelming excitement in the air.
Patriotism, the red, white, and blue.
Quick little moments fly by.
Relatives and friends having a blast.
Smells of good ole homemade cooking. Just some
Toasting and traditions along the way.
Unbelievable love and sacrifice.
Visioning every night like this one.
Water balloons flying in the air.
eXpectations of the night, blown away.
Yelling and singing every word to every song.
Zoned in on honor and enjoying life on the 4th of July.

(Silly writing sense of humor)
If there were some kind of conflict between all the Holidays!! This is how it would be!!
(I apologize for it being so long!!!)
Christmas was Robbed!!
Leprechaun stoled Christmas!!
but Not the grinch "NO!!"
but the Leprechaun!! "YES!!"
Cos, the grinch stoled his gold,
He was uncanny, evil, bold.
It does seem kinda odd that
Kris Kringle just got Robbed.
The Easter Bunny got
Robbed from Cupid but
come on now that's really stupid.
Cupid took over Easter, so in revenge,
The Easter bunny took Valentines and
brought it to an end!!
The Easter Bunny thought he and
Cupid were Friends
Because, to the Easter Bunny,
he thought the
Friendship would mend!!
Once again, the Leprechaun had
gotten Robbed "Thrice!!!"
From our American Uncle
and that wasn't very nice.
Uncle Sam stoled his taxes,
his gold and Color green
now, that was wrong and
was downright mean.
Instead of Red, White and blue,
He saw the color green and
I mean like literally!!!
So, to get him back because
that wasn't cool,
month April stoled 3 colors
the Red, White and Blue,
Just to get him back and
to make him the April Fool.
Halloween stoled Thanksgiving and
the Turkey away
And told him:
you'll never see
A Day of Giving or your Turkey
Again!!
A Day of Giving was calm and
said that's alright!!
I have no beef with you,
you have one frightful night.
people are
Thankful like Everyday!!!
celebrating Thanksgiving
which falls on Thursday.
So, go away now because
you're such a fright,
Give back my Turkey and Thanksgiving
and to you have a Scary Fright!!!
On your one and only Night!!!
As you can see and
Holidays not mentioned,
they also agree!!

Deep in the backwoods of the Knoxville antique,
The black marble sky growls,
A panther,
To outsiders—those inside city limits—
The vanishing streetlights and,
Absence of neighbors,
May put them on extra alert but,
Here,
The panther’s like a friend
Watching over us
All day long me and my cousins,
Waited,
For the whispers of night to cover us,
In the last few hours before Independence Day drifted
Off for another year,
We broke out the rockets:
Nine-packs,
Missiles,
Roman Candles,
Sparklers,
Big and small,
The show was about to begin
Darting away,
From explosives right before launch,
Cracking up till
Our lungs hurt,
Bouncing on,
The backyard trampoline—
(I think I got punched in the eye that night
by accident)—
Playing with the border collie named Shadow,
We were frozen in a dream,
No person could break up this night,
Running without legs from parents’ rules,
And from mysterious police,
Hoping that Shadow wouldn’t go
Nuts,
Hurt someone
We were all—parents and cousins—
Drinking
In the elixir of freedom,
Caught in the secret
Between
The night and the countryside

Aaj azadi ka din h,
Karo apni soch ko bhi aazad,
Agar beet jaye ye din bhi,
To raho apni nayi soch ke saath.

In order to taste Independence
Never ending sacrifices
Genocide and Holocaust,
Blood of your women and infants
Ethnic Cleansing,
Limitless money
Facing humiliation,
Listening derogatory remarks
No value of your honour and prestige,
These are the required ingredients
From making yourself free,
And to break the chains of slavery.

My neighbor wished me Happy Juneteenth yesterday.
I felt alive saying it back -
Yeah! Happy Juneteenth!
Now! We can say it without feeling threatened;
without feeling alone or lame.
We can say it minus that chip weighting our shoulders
and absent the lump of shame sitting on our chest.
We can sing out, Happy Juneteenth!
in a new melodic tune.
Like when we wished each other, Merry Christmas!
We can say it loud with joy and release
and uplifting confidence
that if one doesn’t wish it back
that one is one of the sad and sorry lost who must suffer.
Juneteenth, you say? Who ever heard of that holiday?
Mrs. Horton would stare you down
like you don’t know your tongue
from your *******
she heard you say that.
I learned of the true independence day of our nation
as a young student of 17 in public school.
Learned truths my programmed parents couldn’t teach
from one of God’s messengers of truth
manifest in the form of a high school teacher.
I found out because I wanted to know;
know why the ****** up **** I saw each day
happened mostly to people who were brown
and mostly not to people who weren’t that color.
And, I wanted to know why.
To really get to the crux of why -
even though my skin is peachy tan cream -
why I’m black too?
What’s that mean anyway?
Really, you don’t know. Do you?
Not till someone who knows shows you too.
Or, you just forget who they told you you were.
Then you too will be able to find the truth.
Only because of desire and pure will to understand.
But, if you don’t wanna know -
or cared not to know -
then you never knew of Juneteenth.
And this is all new.
And you think - How do these folks know just what to do?
On a brand new holiday
that trumps the other one they tried to fake.
Cuz no nation is free while it enslaves its own fundamental roots;
choking truth to hide its own crimes.
Holding back light to wallow in pitiful darkness.
J4 is nothing.
Juneteenth is all!
You never were free till you freed all your sons.
And you cannot be till you see all offspring free.
Until you hold the truth in your heart
you can never really be free to be what you are.
So really, any independence day was of undercover ******* -
a reminder of the lie.
While enslaved mothers and fathers,
sisters and brothers walked with free minds on this land
and you celebrated your own cruel spiritual demise,
without understanding or true purpose defined.
But now! Look at the colors we have given you again!
Oh nation stained in blood and terror,
look at what we have given
as a token of our love and forgiveness.
Juneteenth! All is Juneteenth!
The one and only true day to symbolize
the day you finally took the first step -
to step away from your own chains
and the ones you tried to use to bind me.
This one day we give you -
symbolizing that this nation is finally now and forever
a sponsor and supporter and endorser of the free!

Fireworks shooting
On a humid July night
She was raised this way
Doesn't need all that money
She'll shine the brightest tonight
She's an American honey

Human anatomy is similar in many ways
they got same organs
same hearing
same speaking
ability to walk
show emotions
the only difference is
brain is working just to satisfy others ego
despite of having same cranial capcity
they chose different worlds
either good or bad
****** robbery, backstabbing and what else they do
just to conceal their evil souls
Doesn't pay any heed to justify their deeds
Ignoring their inner voice pleading them stop
Blood flowing in their veins is red
won't cry when they see their family on death bed
Their heart is turning black
coz of their unspoken guilt
slowly they are leaving the human behind
just to join hands with the devil
Human anatomy is similar in many ways
but the mind is creating the difference

Where the land of the free has become obscured by the shadow
of oppression,
Its' silhouettes are the monsters
children are afraid of under their beds.
How, fireworks remind so many gunshots
Self-proclaimed nationalists cannot stay loyal enough,
to know what would be good for this land.
This land of the free,
no longer belongs to the home of the brave,
but the cowardly.
Family & children born unto what we deem unattached,
from the roots of this soil,
they are not welcomed for lady liberty's "borrowed" arms to embrace them.
When each artifact
was sculpted from an immigrant's hands,
but we've warranted their tribulations
are greater than stars on our flag.
If those stars stand for detainment,
tragedy, and fascism.
I do not proudly pledge such ideals,
embracing my heritage of greats-
who journeyed over on ships across seas.
They are the stars of America's history.

Tears fell from the eyes,
and pain still rests in the hearts;
Blood shed from the bodies,
and voices arose from every soul;
people didn't get weak
and they moved for what they seek;
journey of thousand miles,
got completed on a single night;
the pain was a way to gain,
the Nation we call PAKISTAN.

Robinson Jeffers (1887 – 1962)
While this America settles in the mould of its vulgarity, heavily thickening to empire
And protest, only a bubble in the molten mass, pops and sighs out, and the mass hardens,
I sadly smiling remember that the flower fades to make fruit, the fruit rots to make earth.
Out of the mother; and through the spring exultances, ripeness and decadence; and home to the mother.
You making haste haste on decay: not blameworthy; life is good, be it stubbornly long or suddenly
A mortal splendor: meteors are not needed less than mountains: shine, perishing republic.
But for my children, I would have them keep their distance from the thickening center; corruption
Never has been compulsory, when the cities lie at the monster’s feet there are left the mountains.
And boys, be in nothing so moderate as in love of man, a clever servant, insufferable master.
There is the trap that catches noblest spirits, that caught–they say– God, when he walked on earth.

some people have given up,they see Nigeria as hopeless,They feel it can not get better.they come with history records, recent happenings and even present situations.People are frustrated and tired so out of the frustration comes so much cursing and bitter words.
Believe me when I say I know the feeling of disappointment, the hurt that one feels when hopes are raised only to be dashed. But when I withdraw from the so much noise and look a little deeper.I see good...so much good in Nigeria.I am being really honest now.I know someone can see this good but if you can not, I wish I could borrow you my eyes, just so you see what I see and of course return my precious eyes back.
Right from the time of Adam and to this very day,We humans tend to feel comfortable pushing blames. We refuse owning up to our wrongs or inefficiency.
While complaining of a cut in your leg there is someone with no legs,he would gladly take your legs with the cut , Be thankful and treat the cut. When the complain is not healing the cut,why don't you use the time to find some first aid.
Why curse when you can bless
why speak death when you Can speak Life
why worry when you can pray
We can change our thinking
We can look inwards at what we can do
We can individually make a positive difference
I'm not saying become voiceless,I'm saying let your voice carry positive value and be backed up with positive actions.
Can anything good come from Nigeria?
Yes!I'm a good example

Once
A man with broad vision
dreamt...
About the land of pures
Then
a man with excellent leadership skills
stood up to fulfill
the first man's dream
he gathered the scattered people
he fought for what was
righyfully ours
he turned the rouges into NATION
Togather they
suffered
sacrificed
bled
but yet the remained strong
holding each others back
against the cunning enemy
they were pure by heart
they had the golden soules
faith was running in their veins
thus they were granted
after years of hardship
with the most beautiful gift
the first man's dream was now a reality...!!
the man who dreamt IQBAL
the man who lead JINNAH
the land of pure PAKISTAN
the nation created PAKISTANIS
and this is OUR story !!
Independence Day !!
PROUD TO BE A PAKISTANI !!

Three days ago
it was Canada Day
Wait for the winter under Maple Leaf shade.
I'm alight with night time's
anaesthetized truths
soothe sweaty, shaking aches
until this
Independence Day
frees up my lungs.
Three days ago,
turned 29 years old.
Etched our initials in a park bench, rolled
my smudging thoughts into
photographed truth.
Our silver, halide smiles
on paper
live in drawers,
tie me to 25.
Our hearts aglow,
we rose
through dreams and aching,
chafing hopes.
True. Free. Young.
But the bombs burst that bubble
and red eyes glared
through anger and an aching, sorry chest.

Young countries grow, old
Time spills out and unfolds,
Liberty, Freedom, A Place that
has it's own dream,
Songs sang, bring tears,
Anthems, passed fears,
subside,
Take pride America,
For every American,
Who has a home, who has a neighbour,
who has a defender, offering peace,
whose young children hold old hands,
whose women and men, continue again, and again and again,
to make it, starts with that dream,
watered with tears, and fed with more than food stamps,
even with so many accents they
all say in one breath,
"thank you for the opportunity"
to serve, to be free, to have the will
from the Baja to Presque Isle,
from Bellingham to Florida, Puerto Rico,
when hopes follow the sun's rise bright,
"Oh say can you see by dawn's early light"
