The way it started
Was nothing
Short of
A boring
Prologue
Of a ******
Novel…
But it was
The in-betweens
That makes
The story
Count,
The stolen glances,
Shy smiles
And voiceless
Affections…
The things that
Often go
Unwritten
But perhaps the
Most vivid
Memories
We keep…
The silent whispers
Of hope and unrequited
Love…
The hidden lines
Between what
Has been written
Down.
It is the in-betweens
That made
Me want to
Tell our
Story,
Not the lackluster
Beginnings-
Definitely not
The ending-
It has its own charms,
But I’d rather
Not relive
The feelings
I’ve killed and
Buried deeper
Than six feet.
But as it is,
We won’t have the
In-betweens
Without a
Beginning…
So let me,
Let me tell
How it started-
From how I remember
Them, how I saw
Things from my own eyes.
And I’ll let you
Tell yours
Afterwards..
Should you ever
Want to
Reminisce what
Has been-
I’ll just leave this here
For you.

I like the time it takes to get somewhere.
I like the moment in the end, before the song switches.
I like the way eyes search before they land on them.
I like the discussions on the night before we leave the town.
I like the words in my mind before they flow out like this.
I like the scent of the Earth between a downpour and daylight.
I like the moment of silence before everyone bursts out laughing.
I like the way sky looks after the sun sets and before the moon appears.
I like the second after saying bye when no one has moved yet.
I like the moment before a secret is shared, the flutter before a confession.
I like the seconds before a candid photo, when everyone's still busy being themselves.
I like the space between apology and forgiveness, when the world feels softer somehow.
I like the in-betweens -
the not-yet and the almost,
they never stay for long, but feel like home;
they remind me that life doesn't rush.

waiting feels endless...

I do a lot of blabbing & I sent this
haiku to someone along with a song
and a message, and, of COURSE, I was
going to just remove the message, but then
thought, meh, why not leave it in, though
the very idea of people hearing me speak
is rather terrifying!! But ceasing to wrestle
my demons, and cuddling with them
instead I've learned can be most
beneficial for growing in life,
so AWAYY I go!!! If you
want to skip my
blathering,

(and, no
I didn't
plan it
that way,
but 4:20
works
just
fine,
