Can you remember a time
when this city
was a great place for
everyone else?
Do you remember
a time, when
this shovel
was but a saving grace-
freedom;
From a world beneath the earth.
Hold on, if you can, hold on-
When children linger, all around me
& your best friends
With their parents, like
That blissful instant, the moments,
Are already gone.
