#guiding
A trusted advisor, A friend, Someone you can rely on, Through thick and thin. Someone to hold out, A guiding hand, Someone to cheer you on, When you reach the end. There’s something special, Knowing someone believes in me, Despite everything. It gives me hope, That perhaps one day, I’ll become something! All because of a few words said, From a mentor, a trusted friend.

Shorter Poem #30 "Mentors"
In the moonlight's gentle glow, We met for reasons we may not know. A blessing wrapped in silver light, Or a lesson learned in the quiet night. Each moment shared, a guiding star, Illuminating who we truly are. In shadows deep or bright embrace, Our paths entwined, a sacred space.

moonlight glow
My lighthouse in storms And times of life is you. My lighthouse is my hope, When things feel they may fall through. My lighthouse guidance has helped, me endure the unthinkable Helps me through times I need, healing and making sacrifices whenever able. My lighthouse is such a guiding force, Guiding me toward the correct turns, in the road to follow love’s course. My lighthouse is stability, helping to steady me in its hold, Never letting me go, a safe haven for me to live like gold. My lighthouse guides me at night in my dreams, Helping me follow all aspirations, always on my team. My lighthouse is the light in my vision, Helping to show clarity in all that’s been. My lighthouse is my security always, Keeping me safe and under a watchful light, in any unknown doorway. My lighthouse stays ever steady in its love; I’m always looking for its guiding light above.

You set my course
I've known her for many years, I have made her laugh, and wiped, Oh so many tears, from her dreams, that disappeared. She always comes to me when she's down, because I've never, Played her love, like all of those other men in town, That give her the run around. She never has stayed long with me, her safe place, with everything, She wants, all of her needs, her eyes, never seem to see. She always goes back to the ranch, finds another tree, Hangs on from a broken branch, she might see tomorrow, by chance. Only when the branch starts to break, she'll give me a call, Before it's to late, I'm the only one who ever catches her falls, And makes her feel so tall. She always feel's safe, when she's with me, my spirit inside, Makes hers feel free, that's what she craves, and needs, is the, Feeling of her spirit, to be free...

The Feeling of Her Spirit to be Free
A BIG word of Thanks, for all what U have Done. U have been an Inspiration, to Me and Everyone. U have taught Me, lessons over the Years. Those Lessons I will hold, for the rest of My Years. U mean a lot....to those, who are Suffering. With all your Prayers, they show signs of Recovering. U are My Guiding Light, for the Battles I've Won. U are the Light that shines, like the Morning Sun.

A Word of Thanks
Is this the Subject, of the story                                         ,                          The way, it is explained to you, Those, just playing their part, Or you really, just that board, Your life, without a clue. Is it all about competition, Bragging rights, about what you do, You will never get ahead, When you only follow, their rules. Those voices in your mind, Your inspirations, for life, this time, At different moments, in this journey, They come to life, to keep you in line. 2/12/2020 AD   Tom Maxwell

Those Voices, In Your Mind !
Throw me to sea A message in a bottle See where I wash up I was born to be free Spirit raised by coyotes I spend my nights howling at the moon I will come back here one day For now my roots are short so I plant myself wherever the wind carries me Bloom in any soil My heart guiding the way

Born To Be Free
Maybe I am following a light, A junction from where I took right Some days I'm just chasing a high, Is it just some words arranged tight Or is it chastising yourself through the night? For when the sun is shining bright, I love taking my emotions for a flight. I'm not hunting for any limelight, Nor do I have any foresight. I'm just driving through the misery and the plight, Knowing I will always stop at a red light Like a deer in the headlights I'm trying to be my self-guiding light, Try as I might.

Why do I write?
Looking across the purple plain Swallowing scents of violets They fill my soul, lift my brain My grandfather’s smile takes my hand Leading me into an unknown land Fear drips away like poison from a vein I can breathe in the future possibilities He is showing me. I can live again Mistakes are like a pointed stick You can’t escape as they **** and ***** You tell yourself that school is out Hard to relearn a new life skill Fighting against the smothering doubt But my grandfather is my steadfast critic My moral compass, my super heroic His calming tone speaks quiet and clear Don’t dwell on the past, its gone and done The future awaits, so be brave, don’t fear He died on a Tuesday, the sky was a heavy grey My tears never dried, so it rains each day But I can still smell the purple of the violets, His garden was filled with the delicate blooms Times spent talking, watching golden dusted sunsets And if I could choose the scent of heaven and floral plume Then it will be clouds of purple and a violet perfume

Violet Scented Horizons
You say I add colors to your days dull But what is a few particles of color in your waves of rainbow What is my ray of light lost in your starglow Your radiance kisses my nights gold The guiding compass I will always follow

Guiding Compass
A gentle voice to cut through nascent wails A tender hug to quiet and to love A guiding hand to give a needed shove

Guiding Light
You're beautiful. I know it, But you scowl at such an audacious remark, How can you see yourself so ill-favored? The way your face lights up as I approach your stunning features, Perhaps the world is blind and I am the only one whom sees this unworldly phenomenon, You still disagree with me, no words, a shake of the head, I will capture this verdict, I promise, Your beauty is complexive, One glance and the camera in my mind grasps every pixel of your flower, You duck and cover at the sight of a lense, Photo albums make your heart vanish, But why? You're gorgeous. I know it, You don't trust my honesty, But, you see, I do not intend on settling for a loss, a tie is still a loss, Those conditioned strands of silk compliment your sky blue eyes, so bright to a squint, You look away from admirerers, You isolate yourself from face, Why? You're a rose. I know it, But why can't you see what I see? Please, Take my outstretched hand, Don't hide from marble puddles, Don't scratch or splash away your reflection, You frown at the sight of a passerby, taking in the world, But again I ask, Why? You're Monroe. I know it, You actually consider believing it, Trust me, These words write for a wild purpose, You give me reason to touch graphite to this linear plane, Lined with veins for you, Don't be nervous, Look here, Into my eyes, Look deep into the black abyss that holds space for you, Only you, You're beautiful. I know it, No more questions, your heinous? I smile, You blush.

I wonder what it takes to go full circle and find my way back home to You? Although I might be as slow as a turtle Your love will guide me when I am true. I’ll finish up then as I began being a child of Yours having knocked on so many of life’s secret doors. But even though I have yet to find all the right answers at this stage of my life there have been some advances. My feelings towards You now seem to have changed but this shouldn’t be a reason for us to feel estranged. Love’s the universal magnet that draws everything close together we shouldn’t mind too much if we pass through stormy weather. In a world of constant change there are many upheavals but love often does get stronger when there’s a retrieval. It’s something of a realisation by which we come to know that as love completes a full circle perfection it will show. How long will it take to go full circle to find my way back home with You? It seems I'm just as slow as a turtle But is Love guiding me and am I true? _____________________

Full Circle
Troubleshooter she is, How convenient it was, And now I end my M.Tech, No one else could help, Kindest person she is. Yes you were strict, Oh and so cool too, Understanding me. Slowly but surely, Under this ceiling, Mam you helped me, And like a real sister, Not a doubt here. Did your job require you to? I do not think so, madam. Did you help me as you could? I think you helped a kid brother.

Dear Doctor Suman
Love will always guide her To all the wrong places But with perfect timing It will lead her through darkness And the deepest of pains But she will never stop putting One foot in front of the other And she will eventually learn How to speak the language of her heart For it has been crying out to her Too loud to hear all else
