#greeting
Countless
Greets you
Just Hi !
Some with their hands
Few with their heart
And if you are blessed
The rare one
Greets you
With their soul
Every phase
If you are greeted
Just pause
And realize it
Namaste

It's cold in the morning
without you my love
as the day is dawning
with light from above.
My dreams have been of you
so now are my thoughts:
at times we all go through
our life out of sorts.
That time spent together
did not really last
because of the weather
which came like a blast.
I long to be with you
with all of my heart
and hope you will be too
like after our start.
You know how it was then
at our first greeting
for we gave ourselves ten
on that chance meeting.
It seemed our time had come
to be together
as it happens for some
who brave the weather.
Those storms of life often
are too rough to bear
and some seek to soften
the road getting there.
You had to forgive me
when I doubted you
and this I found to be
as our love was true.
The people around us
don't have much to say
they're likely to cause fuss
and then move away.
I have always been yours
since the day we met
so for us to hold scores
is not that well set.
You're my life's one true love
and I'm not guessing:
you were sent from above
with the Lord's blessing.

I once knew a girl from a north country shore
as it was some place I had been to before.
We had met one fine day going down the street
each walking in opposite directions sweet.
We were both minding our own business when
an incident happened for us to meet then;
some elderly lady with a shopping bag
was coming along but got caught in a snag;
one of her shoes on the uneven pavement
nearly sent her headlong towards derailment.
Fortunately for her we were both there to
stop her from falling and to save the bag's spew.
As we helped the lady and looked at each other
we caught a gleam of light in our eyes to bother
all preconceived notions of what life was about
and it seemed we were both uneasy to find out.
For we looked up and away with sighs of relief
then back again at each other in disbelief.
I couldn't help seeing then the look on her face;
reflections of my own as from a mirrored place.
Or was it an image from deep within my heart
projected outward being therein from the start?
What happened next was not so amazing to tell
as we spoke certain words of greeting and farewell.

She looked at me
Like I was familiar
She smiled at me
Like I was familiar
Then
She waved goodbye
Like I was a stranger
Silence then followed

No more time,
for us to exchange greetings.
And no more time,
for us to exchange words.

Let me repeat
Something
You already know
In case
No one has told you
Today
Here it is
Good morning
You are beautiful
Have a better tomorrow
Stay blessed

every heart stops beating
not every man's worth meeting
I can see by the cheesy greeting
this conversation's not worth completing
we could be great, but it would be fleeting
in the end, you'll end up cheating
and it'll be this number you're handing me, that I'll be deleting

The open way is coming
Try to tie
Your love with your family
Call your parents
Ask in truly
Phone your sons
Greeting your daughters
Make a beautiful kiss
Flaying over clouds
Chattering the fear
Improving our tie
That is a way
In addition to obey
Our Gods who can forgive
The faults and can give
Happiness clouds that will save
Our plants of life

I don't mean to anger or jar you,
But you've hit on a pet peeve of mine;
To answer your question, "How are you?",
I'm required to say, "I'm just fine".

Is this not prayer?
is this tool not the tool I hoped for? The pen
filled by the ever-flowing flowery ink
that re-news old knowns
left to ripen under bald and hoary heads
in stoney hearts softened by seventy years worth
of salty tears
and sad songs
"great was the number of them,
wombed ones all, who sang of the victory to be"
Miriam and Hannah, Deborah and Jael, who
retold those tales by the rivers of Babylon?
And who fueled the furnace seven times hotter,
to signal the unbelivable fourth.
being likend unto the son of god, though the
analogy seems
lacking evidence that the likeness can be reproved.
Look again.
This magi-tech converged from all the poetic,
pathetic
ethos of logo marks making proper
ification of a rythm's
un legit singin' in public,
on the corner, wit' Willie and the po'boys
beat me daddy six t' the bar---
Oh
--- those ethnic poundings on my skull,
--- send those feelings, urging, grow grow grow
--- 'til the roofs cain't hold hope in
then
hear come them ol' time thought cops,
wee gray dominees preparing dominoes for
one reason,
dominos are never stood to stand, but to fall
touching one, touching one, touching one
whisper, rest
the waiting is over, this is the time
to start all over.

The light that is shining through my window
That darkness that is getting into every vein of my body
The water that is washing my face
That water that is drowning me so far inside
The flower that is sprouting in every color
That color that is inside me is scattering somewhere
The breeze that just crossing me now
That is Getting heavy on my every breath
The man who is just passing by me
that idea that I'm not letting go of it anymore
The first word that my tongue is saying out now
That last words that I'm writing here
The greeting for which I was just giving my hand
That distance that I am now keeping from all of them

I open the door.
It creaks open,
and my fingers tremble at the ****
Beyond the small window,
and the pounding of my heart.
We are close enough,
and my words are lodged up somewhere-
everywhere-all at once!
I want to say hello, for you to smile my way.
The yearning in my heart grows stronger,
but aren't we just friends? Can't I just say it?
So why, why, why,
is my body frozen to the door?
To the side?
As you pass by?
I need to move somehow,
just a little bit, please.
But you open another door.
And it closes.

With every day that passes us by,
You become lovelier to my eyes.
You are more beautiful than you were yesterday,
and like each and every day,
you will always take my breath away!
Your brilliance makes the sun seem small
because truthfully,
you are my sun,
you are my all.
I wish we shared the same bed,
so that we may wait for the sun to rise
and tell the beloved moon our goodbyes
And only that way,
I could wake up to you everyday,
only to remind you that you are the girl my heart is adoring,
and all before the sun’s first ray,
I could kiss you and wish you good morning!

To my gentle eyed girl,
When it comes the time to draw your blade,
I swear not to blink,
And not to blame.
I will drive alone like it were in the beginning,
I will remember to greet you
Just as the living.

The time has come
As it does every year
To contact all your friends
And send them some cheer;
To bundle up some wishes
And presents if you can
And hope they achieve
All their wonderful plans.
Some say Merry Christmas,
Others say Season’s greetings
But they all share the spirits
Of love and good wishes meaning.
They all have the meals that are
The ones they always have made.
They sing the appropriate songs
Many have bought or they made
Presents that will make it clear
That the people they give them to
Are the ones they hold most dear.
Even for those people too poor or
Or far away for gifts to be sent
Make sure the people they love
Know what their love has meant.
So, this is the time for me to say
Those things I so love to hear
That I am always thinking of you
And you are who I hold dear.
I hope you have all the joy
And best wishes from every one
That you think about every day
And a season full of holiday fun.

The beach should be so special,
I want to go to a beach with you.
I want us to go to a private beach,
And give you an Australian greeting.
My missile will touch your bombs,
And then make way to your silo,
The Australian greeting is ****

It's funny how nowadays if we see someone we know,
We nod our head up.
And if we see someone we don't know,
We nod our head down.
But when we see ourselves in the mirror,
We don't know what to do.

Before our hands even part
from our very first greeting,
my mind won't stop.
I want to know all that there
is to know about you.
Your greatest fears.
Your wildest dreams.
Your first heartbreak.
Your favorite childhood memory.
I crave to know the depths of your soul.
The inner workings of your thoughts.
I want to know who you really are,
not who you think I want you to be.

First impressions.
Opening lines.
That’s how people will judge you.
Leaving actions.
Final words.
That’s how people will remember you.

Welcome to Hello Poetry
and thanks for following me.
I know it can be tough when you start,
but your poems are always great if they are from the heart.
You'll stay up late awake at night
staring at your computer light
with no thoughts coming to your mind,
ticking your fingers on the keyboard while your teeth grind.
This poem is a thanks
for the times you deal with blanks.
The times you know are tough,
I, too, am familiar with how rough
that feels.
And I swear it never heals,
only goes away temporarily
just to smack you more disparagingly.
So, here's to the poets
who are so fixated on blemishes that they don't even know it.
