Amazing how the day spins There are chains in All entwined in Amazing How little my life means To those I give my everything it is humbling, to know your meaning Amazing In the scope of greens I am a tiny speck of red a very lonely feeling Amazing Cannot say anything Without meaning other things Deciding against it The purpose defeating Amazing It is so small and beautiful I am noticing the life beyond my life I cannot help dreaming Amazing Every good thing That happens after bad ones That helps us forget The last thing Amazing I am still living breathing It is gratifying How human is still a thing Amazing is my heart still beating And it always for me.

It is amazing, I keep repeating
When it's three am and the cold water splashes against your face, wiping away the sweat of another nightmare, When it's just about noon and the old fork clatters from your hand, moving beyond the loneliness of another meal, When it's half past six and the exasperated sigh escapes from your lips, easing aside the tension of another day, that is when I hope you recall, remember, that once-- much more than once-- I was your gratifying well, your overflowing banquet, your everlasting breath.

much more than once
The best whiskey goes down smooth as the silky tongue of a curvaceous young woman. There are times when we desire sips from brands known to bite the back of the throat with the gratifying sting of fingernails dug in between our shoulder blades. Funny how the sensations of pleasure and pain have more in common than we realize.
