Almost too much, a cursed grail A heavy stone rolling down a hill Almost too much when I fell down Almost too much when I hit the ground Almost too much when the she-bird sang A sorrowful song sodden with pain Almost too much, too much when I failed A heavy stone rolling down a hill

Almost Too Much
Devils are walking amongst us And the only thing left to believe Is to believe We are here Trading skeletons for skeletons Trying to lighten the load Because Hell doesn't wait for you to die To bring you home Sometimes we wonder Are our moons for sale? Are our moons in high demand Or have they become surpluses? While we prepare for our last meal We take our shot at building our paradises A little bubble, a little refuge So fragile, so beautiful, so irrational A gold-leafed imprint of a diamond The moon belongs to everyone Like the Sun, the day, and the night And it's looking to play If we must drink blood Might as well pour it in the holy grail

Our Moons
Come and hop aboard my lifelong childhood cause Before the swirl in the ocean, makes it come to a pause It’s not at all, what it seems I’m Just trying to fulfil my childhood dreams Paddling up stream, to reach a sandy shore Seeing distant island mirages, with no actual solid ocean floor Time to get me off this windy sail, before its put up on eBay for sale I’ll instead join a holy cause, that one day, might just find the holy grail.

Holy Cause
Love, essence of life. Kind, patient and innocent. Quest for a pure heart.

Holy Grail
so juxtaposed I feel, I feel concomitant on a fulcrum in a stasis at the nadir and the return and I demur

A Pentagram
Beautiful heart A heart not to be worn on your sleeve In search of Love in a pit of snakes White rose among the scarlet Only to be found once in a lifetime Disappeared it has Like a cat sleeping in a windowsill A common site overlooked It was always there The vase in the window now is missing The one with the golden heart Locked away far from sight Never again to grant the opportunity to be shattered A beautiful heart The holy grail Shall be difficult to find

Beautiful Heart
Every morning I jump out of an airplane with out a parachute: Swallows Starlings and Ancient Sparrows caress Me through Mt. Everest, Humming Magpie’s hang on to my fingertips past Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Plummeting over the lark’s meadow the loon’s lake and today seems small. Fifteen-thousand feet holds the rebirth of rubber band resiliency, Chant with my feathers now bound to tumbling shoulder blades like holy fowl. Destiny a grail all-embracing imminent possibilities. Morning endures as I ascend our reflecting clouds “Today is the day”.

Leap
Marching across the lands looking for foes to impale A show of brutality killing those who oppose my flail I am Arthur, King of The Britons And I seek the grail

Can immortality be found in a cup? I long to  partake with you. In your immortality-- You leave as I leave your cup.              Leave me inside the cup              Mouth your prayers              Cover the lid, a boulder, cavernous sun. Distance measures itself, As the circle is to your cup, While I stare, beseeching At the wind turning you  into dust Her ritual is done. It is done. His body-- the body of her son. The wind lifts her hands to offer you.                        The sun bares his teeth. Sipping in your cup, then came an epiphany-- I am who am. I: the carnivorous sun.

Holy Grail
Well I'm ridin through the crossroads on a midnight jet black horse, got my pistol cocked and my sabre sheathed ,but loosely as a matter of course- In the past I could let my guard down, but Tonight I must not fail, I'm like Jonah riding in the belly of the beast while Ahab takes aim at the whale, screaming from Hells heart I stab at thee for hate I spit my last breath but tonight's my night the coin's just took flight will it be life or endless death?, I'm a wanted man with a blackened name, and the hunter's have my scent, but it's my one true love who I've got to save, so on her rescue I'm Hellbent. And the hell in there is not a turn of phrase, she's in the grip of Satan's kin, and if silver and steel can't save her soul, I'll trade my own straight in. because Sweet Alice always warned me 'bout the company I kept, but I ignored her wisdom and for my sins, she was taken while I slept, by a Hell spawned demon creature straight from Lucifer's darkest dream, and her sob of fear is all I could hear, now I'm haunted by that scream, and for 11 years I've faced all my fears on an evil infested trail, a Witch woman omen caster told me I could save her with the holy grail. I turn to see the demon following me thru the gloom and misty hail, and for the thousandth time I curse my oath to quest for the holy grail, but Sweet Alice needs me to be strong, and so I must not fail, to face hell's hordes and save her soul I must find the holy grail

Holy Grail(inspired by Phil Lynott)
i. The breadth of her aura Stretcheth like a veil; From the philippines, she was created of tropical tree detail. ii. As one entereth her extrasolar city Thou shalt findeth there's no need for the sun or the moon; She is the light, the scintillate of star clustered room's. iii. Just beyond the river Jordan Where stream's of heaven tint; She's not for sale, she's the grail of the gate's of holiness. ©Brandon nagley ©Lonesome poets poetry ©Earl Jane nagley dedication/Filipino rose
