With Poe-try you can surely get your Words' worth So many words are waiting like a Wolfe at your door, for their Cummings into being. If you listen, they Pound upon your brain They Lamb-aste your viscera, making you Nash your teeth. They create a Millay in your head. So many shapes, so many Hughes Lusting for Moore they Lear at you when you least expect. Look back at them! Like Frost upon the windowpane they write themselves, then, when all is said and Donne melt away too soon. Grasp them when you can. Put them in a *Rowe Taylor* them to your muse, use your Whit, man !

Punning With Poets (or Can Homer Come Out to Play?)
I was flipping through some books that I got from a free pile.... some lovely literary titles. In the back with a note with a quote from Robin Williams "Please don't worry so, because in the end none of us have a very long time on this Earth life is fleeting. And if you're ever distressed cast your eyes to the Summer Sky when the stars are strung across the velvety night if a shooting star streaks through the Blackness, turning night into day make a wish, think of me, make your life SPECTACULAR! " I can hear him saying that in a sincere yet....  comedic tone. Words like this above and the ones following just seem to always flow from his lips " you're only given a little spark of Madness you mustn't lose it" " Comedy is acting out optimism" " People say satire is dead. Isn't dead it's just living in the White House." " the Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'give me your poor, you're tired, your huddled masses'- she's got a baseball cap and a bat yelling- you want a piece of me?" " Time is the best teacher, but unfortunately, it kills all of its students" "Never pick a fight with an ugly person they've got nothing to lose" And finally...not by any favorite "No matter what people tell you words and ideas can change the world" All above quotes by Robin Williams "I think Robin Williams was an amazing quick witted poet, an exceptionally gifted actor...because I'm not sure he was acting...and he was also a very shiny human being" - Cherie Nolan © 2016

"Tribute to Robin Williams"
I am closer to believing than I ever was before on the crest of this Elation must I crash upon the shore And with the Driftwood of acquaintance light the fire to love once more I am windblown... I am times. To be closer to believing to be just a breath away On the death of inspiration I would buy back yesterday But there's no crueler illusion There's no sharper coin to pay as I reach out...it slips away From the ***** of custom to the ledges of extremes don't believe it till you've held it life is seldom what it seems But lay your heart upon the table and in the shuffling of your dreams remember... who on Earth you are. I need me You need you we want us But of course you know I love you for what else am I here for only you not face to face but side by side forever more I need to be here with you for without you what am I Just a fool out searching for some heaven in the sky Take me to forward lead me on Through collision and confusion While there's life beneath the Sun you are the reason I continue so near for so long so close.... yet so far away I need me You need you We want us to live forever measure after measure Of the writing on the wall that burns so brightly it blinds us all I need me you need you we want us together on Sundays in the rain closer than forever against or with the grain to ride the storms of Love Again So be closer to believing though your world is torn apart For a moment changes all things and to end is but to start And if your journey is unrewarded may God lift up your heart You are windblown but you are mine. A writers mind should be thoughtful and kind. It may also be sore with sorrow; or have a grimace of grief. But; with a sigh of relief I must say, hell or high water they find a way to get under your skin, and there they stay. Whether It's Poe with woe; or Frost with snow, their thoughts crowd your mind while they grow and grow. Leaving you desperate to find; an idea of your own.
