There's a mirror, hanging on my wall. It shows me images of what it sees. There's no bias. No judgement. All I see is the hideous monster I call me.

The Mirror on my wall
From the west to the east, Traveling north to south, Men pour their hearts To this fairest of all, Whose lips are red, cheeks rosy But eyes cold and gray for How far and how deep she reigns Is how far and deep she thinks of him, She is the queen of hearts But never of his, *And just like the queen of hearts, We want what we can't have.*

Queen of Hearts
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is fairest of them all?" "Human, human, standing there, please define for me your word 'fair'?" "Mirror, mirror, in front of me, to be fair is to have beauty." "Human, human, in front of me, please describe the word 'beauty'?" "Mirror, mirror, listen here, beauty is looks that catch your eye, that please the mind, catch you by surprise." "Human, human, you are wrong. That is just your opinion, your argument isn't strong." "Mirror, mirror, be silent please, I asked you to answer but one thing." "Human, human, I'm sorry, but your beauty is relative to only you, it is not something that I can choose." "Mirror, mirror, you lie to me now. Surely there's someone to tell me about." "Human, human, yes, indeed you are human. Find someone yourself, I'm afraid I can't help. To me you are beauty, for I am otherwise alone, but surely I am ugly, with all that you know." "Mirror, oh, mirror, on the wall, it just might be there is no fairest at all."

Fairest of Them All
It started one night; We talked into the night, Till after the midnight, I saw the Light, Beyond the darkest night. Since that faithful night, Now I want more nights. It’s almost midnight, Yet I can’t sleep tight. Don’t say goodnight, For it’s a bad night, Because after that first night I don’t sleep again at night. I can’t dream light, Nor snore right. Sweet One of the night, You’re all I need for a good night. Stay with me for one more night, Let me give you the best Night of all nights. I’ve waited, wanted and rehearsed for this night. Let me take you to the stars of the night, And beyond the dark lights, Where you’ve never been before, for after this one night, You’ll never run away for all nights. Fairest of the night, Fear not one more try won’t hurt an ant. Are you scared Beautiful One of the night? Its midnight The best time To say this rhyme Desire I only you Require I just you Can’t do without you All me want is you For me alone its you Anywhere I’ll go for you Everywhere I’ll go with you In me is only you For I am with you Now pray this rhyme For it’s the best time Cos it’s Midnight Like that night…

"All Night's Midnight"
*I rode all day, I cried all night. The moon didn't glow, The stars didn't rise. A comet blazed Between my eyes. West and south, Wind and rain. Every way is Just the same. Pray give me a box To hide inside Pray give me a ***** To dig my grave.* ~GC Levine, from Fairest
