From hiding behind your parents in a crowd to standing alone in hospital corridors. From saving pocket money for candy to saving money for responsibilities From drawing your dream house on paper, to worrying about rents and bills From waiting for someone to pick you up to learning how to carry yourself home. From writing names in your diary because you never wanted to forget them , to repeating names in prayers because you refuse to let them fade. From asking endless questions to living with unanswered ones. From counting stars in the night sky, to counting regrets From blowing out candles and making wishes , to lighting candles in remembrance. From saying "See you tomorrow" without thinking to realizing tomorrow is never promised. From crying over a broken toy To carry your broken heart with a smile From reading stories about loss to living one. From scraping your knees , to carrying your wounds no one can see. From sitting together in classes , to hugging each other years apart. From believing forever was a promise, to realizing it was only a hope. From falling asleep anywhere to lying awake with a thousand thoughts. From being afraid of dark , to finding peace in a dimly lit room. from arranging funerals for butterflies you found dead in the garden to attending the last rites of someone you love. From running to your parents after a nightmare to discovering that some fears remain even after you wake. From believing the dead lived among the stars to standing beneath them and wishing they did. From racing to grow older to wishing time would slow down. _______Violetta

What I would give for one more eve with you My love. I think about what you said to me The day you departed. “Never forget me, I’ll always love you.” But how can this be true, when you have abandoned that very love? ————————————- My love, I carry enormous weight Within my heart. It becomes heavier every day that passes And I cannot be led on like this. I beg the lord, With a cross in my hand, To hand you back For I will work hard, Harder than anyone has before, I will earn and not sin I will resist and not burn. ————————————- My love, Whether or not you love me, I no longer care. You are ignorant, A mosquito that I cannot slap away, And I despite you for it. Stop speaking to me, It’s been years Since I’ve spoken to you. ————————————- My love, I have earned this I have toiled and struggled Under the sun, For longer than I planned to. And now a new flame of love has been lit. The wood is brittle and old, And its flame is weak of doubt, But it gives me warmth You no longer offer. ————————————- My love, I miss you. I am okay, I am okay, I am okay. But no matter how okay I feel, You cannot come back. The flame I spoke about has invaded my heart And engulfed me in happiness. I am happy, Thank you for letting me believe in the world Once again. I love you to the moon and back. Forever without end, Yours until time dies, Even if you cannot remain Mine. My love is yours.

Paper Kites
Remind you; present soul your embers hiding among ash. Remind you; present feet struggle to touch-- troubled with lonesome direction, aimless in their grasp; far from being graces' kiss. Remind you; O sun thy light a conquerer reveal scars of existence. Remind you; you sleep not of tire, or escape, rest as perfect reflection and polish thy loves to dull scars of existence. Remind you; peace like a dawn light folds and ease thy fear. Remind you; ancient wisdom thy knowledge and fame is as just its face once your carrier is entombed. Remind you; worlds your's is just as doomed as high love is fatal upon fall. Remind you; words as just comparison, Renaming fear; to truth. And remind you; the road; Thy road you are a spirit of eternity.

Remind you
.                     Time,                     space                     and everything in between.                     Heartaches,                     tears                     and secrets that don't come clean.                     Gambols,                     laughter                     and smiles beaming keen.                     Deep thoughts,                     aloneness                     and the dark places we've been.                     Handholding,                     careless hugs                     and ready shoulders to lean.                     Reckless stabs,                     impulsive jabs                     and caustic words we don't mean.                     Contentment,                     counting blessings                     and hope we can glean.                     *You,                     me                     and everything in between.* .

Everything in Between
Sing the scales for me, The scales of love and commitment Or of hate and resentment, Just run me the scales And tell me the tales You know the ones The happily-ever-afters The smooth-sailing rafters, The divorce rates rocketing The greed stricken pocketing, It’s the people, you know? And it’s the people you know. Yet the people you know, Are rarely people you know. So sing the scales for me, One last time. Sing the scales for me, So I can hear you rhyme. Sing the scales for me, Once ‘fore you go. Sing the scales for me, Because it’s you I don’t know.

Do Re Mi
I don't hate you. I just hate the hurt you contributed to.
