no trumpets
no perfect restoration
just quiet rebuilding
from what used to be everything

I learned that not all endings are empty
some are just rearrangements of what survived
the gold wasn’t gone
it was just buried under what burned
and the ashes weren’t failure
they were proof that something once existed strongly enough to leave a mark
I used to think I had to go back
restore what was
fix what broke
but some things aren’t meant to return
they’re meant to transform
so I stopped chasing the past version of me
and started building from what remained
not perfect
not untouched
but real
and slowly
I started to understand
what breaks you doesn’t always define you
but what you rebuild after it does
because even after kingdoms fall
even after crowns crack
even after silence takes everything familiar
something still survives
and that something
is enough to begin again
