#empower
There are many clothes in the world
that you can try on today
be it designer brand name or not,
that can fit on a clothing rack.
Just because something is made
doesn’t mean that you must fit it,
or the expectation of wearing it.
Not everything is going to fit.
Not everything is going to be your size,
including emotions.
Nothing good comes from waiting
for someone else’s approval.
If someone sees you,
let them see you for the remarkable
beauty that you are.
No matter if you mix and match,
or if you have on the full set.
Even if you see someone wearing
their emotions, and it’s the type of person
you want to be,
there is nothing wrong with trying something on.
But don’t get mad if it doesn’t fit.
It may not be the right time for you right now.
There is power in letting go.
There is also power in walking away.
There is no need to pretend that you’re less than
trying to keep up with a trend.
There is a lot of power in letting go,
and finding all the beautiful things
that you were meant to be

Words are nothing, without the meaning you give to them!
I am in pure absolution, you have as much strength, as the values and faith you have in fulfilling your very aspirations!
The combination of balance emotions and pure intentions will gracefully unfold wealth in abundance you sought for.
You can have your time in the dark.
Remember, your light is the spark responsible for continuous star life!
Believe me, you were born to shine!
If you won once before, you are going to get out there and do it again!

I made myself so.
So small
For so long
So talk over me,
I won't mind,
I made myself so.
So quieten me,
If it's what you need.
A speechless soul,
I silenced myself so.
Daddy didn't see you
So take your aim
Argue and I will cower.
I taught myself so.
Spread corrosive untruth,
Use me and chew me out,
I oppressed myself so.
I see the end light,
And imminent reprieve.
So do what you like,
I'll make myself so.
I unpeeled my skin
And started again
I lost you and them
And started again.
I made myself so.

step up
your *******
game.
i can see
through the
jealousy
that you
hide inside
of your heart.
don't you dare
get mad
at me,
for your envy
is as ugly
as your
egoistic bruise.
i won't
hesitate to
switch things up,
you underground,
with me
up above.

be a girl who wants to fight
not like the men out there
wear three hundred pounds of muscle
and fight **** out of someone
be a girl,
the girl who wants to fight with fears
the impossibilities with tears
fight within the cold person inside,
to become more of human;
HUMANITY IS ALL IT NEEDS
fight with the scars left by people
to turn the dreams into reality
fight with the words
so they make astonishing sentences
don't convince yourself
the society is full of haters, bullies
covered with the masks of innocence
don't try to show the real you
because they should have the privilege
to understand and begrudge
be the girl who fights with silence
so the demons shy to cause nuisance

Tears dried on your caramel cheeks
Wondering why there’s so much to be scared of
Thinking about escaping to a better place
Where you do not feel like a burden
Where you had not been a mistake
Where you are not scared of being condemned
But you already had to accept
There’s no where to go and no one to turn to
You have family as reliable as a bike with a broken chain
Friends who are scared of you
And a brain that has not yet developed
Through the terrifying thoughts
Horrible memories
And flat out traumatizing events
You are still fighting
I know most day hurt being in the wrong body
I know most days you just wish you’d been born right
I know that one day you’ll be getting closer
To being able to present how you want
I know you’re scared
But there’s something I need to tell you
Something I need you to trust
Dry your cheeks and listen to me
you are now loved
and
you will be okay
there is nothing wrong with who you are
you’re allowed to be you
we are two months on testosterone and becoming the man we’ve always knew we were
I’m so proud of you

Oh sweet little girl
Wont you open your eyes
Wont you wake up,
Rise and Shine.
Oh sweet little girl
Wont you watch your tongue
don't be so vocal or else you'll be shunned.
Oh sweet little girl
Hold your head high
Have a straight back
With shoulders wide.
Oh sweet little girl
Don't play in the mud
Your shoes will be ruined,
Don't mess with the bugs.
Oh sweet little girl
You study so hard
Your effort is noted
But your grades are subpar.
Oh sweet little girl
Don't travel alone
There's people at night
Who want to take you home.
Oh sweet little girl
How you've grown
You're a women now
With a mind of your own.
Oh little women
How your drive, drives you.
How you reach for the stars
Even with lips turning blue.
Oh little women
That's not what we said
Don't speak your mind
You're bringing up dread.
Oh little women
Leave that feather on the ground
Leave that bug on the bush.
There's nothing to be found.
Oh young women
Your voice is to loud
The chaos you're causing
is shaking the ground.
Oh young women
You're choices are bold
They're for to strong.
Listen to what you've been told.
Ma'am
We've asked you to stop
We've told you again and again.
You seem to not listen
Your will wont give in.
Your voice is to loud
Your hair isn't right
You are far to willing to pick a fight.
You play with nature
You say as you please
You're breaking the parameters
of what we believe.
Ma'am
It's time to settle down
It's time to fit in
Stop all this ruckus
And follow the rules you've been given.
"These rules have been botched
The've been slashed through with red X.
The women are rising,
And trust me you're next.
We are coming up from the rubble,
From the ash and the dirt,
We come with a vengeance,
Someones bound to get hurt.
We've suffered and begged,
For your ears to open,
Yet you brush away our please
Refusing diplomacy.
So we come with our swords,
Our flames rising high
We come with our voices
Screaming out towards the sky."

I won’t lose any sleep
over the people I can’t keep.
No tossing through the night,
staying up till the morning light.
Instead, my hair lays in a halo,
I’m not waiting for your say so,
a tangle-free bundle of peace,
a joy that may never cease,
I breathe easy now alone,
a queen upon my own throne.

I've written and read
poems about the stars
and how they were
so fascinating,
empowering
and ultimately,
unreachable.
I've heard stories
about angels and saints;
Their goodness,
nobility and purity,
serving as epitomes
of what Man could
and should be.
But the saints,
they were once sinners
and there are angels
who fell from grace.
Stars that turned
into black holes,
nothing is safe.
Falling is inevitable,
even for the untouchable,
and what we believe to be
unreal and ethereal.

There was a dreadful nail in her shoe
But still she went to pick her child from school
She was in a hurry as she was already late
As she scurried out our wooden gate
I could not believe she had a nail in her shoe
But still she agreed to pick her child from school
The bumpy road and the scorching heat
By her courage, she could easily beat
I couldn’t believe there was a nail in her shoe
But still she agreed to pick her child from school
To subdue all the turns and bumps she did not fail
Despite the scorching heat and the dreadful nail
I could not believe there was a nail in her shoe
But still she agreed to pick her child from school
“Is it not hard to walk” I asked
With a nail in the shoe, it is a big task
“why not go and change instead?”
But some golden words were what she said
“I go through many hurdles my dear”
A nail in the shoe is pretty familiar
The coerce foes are like a nail in my shoe
The devalue of people adds to the pain too
But I turn a deaf ear to them dear
Cause their opinions are unworthy to hear!

If my priorities
Is to
Admire you
Embrace you
Hold you
Pull you
Nurture you
And strengthen you
To keep the soulful smile
Alive
Still
Will you think of
Creating space to
Push me..
Drag me..
Drain me..
Break me..
Or self absorb
?
?
?
For the best of each other
Won't you reciprocate?
Holding faith
Won't you behave the same?
Can you hold the breathe?
Sincerely yours
Universal love

to let go and move on.
you must know what they truly are;
not what they say;
not what they do;
is not an easy thing to do,
cause all they did was to justify every move.
to know you deserve everything your heart aches for
is not easy my friend, cause all it has know
is to silence it, whenever it says.
you are allowed to be, if you truly allow;
no one, just you.
unlearn the things
a glorious life awaits
no more hanging on to the harming
the only one you truly need is you
no one else, just you.

there's a world inside your mind
and it wants you to find
a place for others,
without changing
the bookshelves
the music
or the way that you walk through the door.
It might be the means of replacing
the fear which stops you from living
and giving
and laughing
as yourself.

Next year is a new decade
And I just have to say
That i'm done with this phase
I'm done with the facade
That I put on my fades
Everyday it loosens
But everybody can relate
I refuse to be toxic
Or allow it in my life
And i’m claiming for 2020
That i'm gonna strike
10 for 10
20 for 20
I'm not wasting no time
I'm not playing hooky
If you don't let me do me
Then you will get escorted out
I refuse to have my fire extinguished now
I'm on a roll
Call me cottonelle
I'm not drake
But my hotline blings if you can’t tell
I'm done being depressed
I'm done feeling sorry
If you don't want better
Then you cannot stop me
Winners in my circle
And we smart like Steve Erkle
Over obstacles like hurdles
Usain and we boltin'
Like laundry, i'm not folding
Reversing patterns
Breaking chains
I will not get played like a lame
I;m going to be rich
And I will be successful
No doubt about it
Make sure u deliver the message

whirlwinds dust ashes
it wanders and follows your every step
your hair turns into moss, your fingertips connect with your accomplice
someday you will have to saw them in two
I wonder if your laugh will be the same once its your fingers under the blade
you’re turning bald and your nose is merely a button
can you smell the stench you create every time you lower your lip?
do you see the trail of destruction?
your bed is a coffin
your heart is non-existent
it’s a shame your teeth don’t even match the vision
your eyes aren’t rubies and your gums aren’t ******
glory is fictious, horns are the dream
not even that is what it may seem
for your head is a block of dirt and your thoughts are deflated
perhaps the worms came and ate them
perhaps they feast on you the same way you feast on me
except you don’t
the feast is your imagination
your perception is pitiful
you are forever insubstantial

I'm tired of "understudying myself"
(The just in case syndrome, the worry, the not good enough, the anticipation of failure has got to go.)
Its time for me to be the Star

At the end of the day , it's just you curled within you , within you ,
with your thoughts floating ,
even with all this gravity.
You are a woman ,
With muscles that
stretch and curl ,
With skin ,
Which glows.

When a poet cries
It's no ordinary cry
It's a cry for the pain they hold for others
The words that they are afraid to speak
Ones they just can't seem to get right
A poets cry represents life, love & pain
All of which he has endured
Those he has not
Those tears. Create life
Each pen stroke
Healing their scars & open wounds
Chains that have them bound
In hopes to release them
When a poet cries
It's no ordinary cry
It's a cry for the pain they hold for others

She is distinct
known For her vernacular
They say it's different for her "kind"
For her style, they say is peculiar yet captivating
Compared to the expected.
Is it who she is?
Surrounded by those who are "different"
So they say
But in what way
Looking different on the outside,
But she wasn't too blame
Or put to shame
Is it so she is?
Trying to find her place in a world so black so white
Is it so she is?
Is it who she tries to be.

Mothers. Possibly one of the significant contributors of the phrase “Empowered Women, Empower Women.” They overcome adversities, challenge social norms and break down barriers – rising and raising their child with them.
They plant flowers in the garden of their children, so they can bloom. They pour love out like a waterfall and nurture those who drink from it. They enflame hearts with compassion. They orchestrate and create harmony amongst their children creating a beautiful symphony. They pave roads and liberate. They voice out and amplify the ones of their own.
Here is to their depths of love that supports and caresses. To their cheers that uplifts. To how they raise and confront the world. To their softness. To their boldness. To their resilience. To their sacrifices. To them bringing out the best in us.
Here is to their ability to create an insurmountable power that only grows. Here is to them to being driven and passionate in their own authentic way. To them carrying out their integrity. To them setting examples, aspiring us to emulate.
To the ones who give birth, adopt, educate and raise. To the ones who devote their lives to their families care, to the ones who balance. Here is to them creating ripples carried over generation. To them shaping us and thereby shaping the world after them.
