bleak times as all fall
Don’t be mad...hate not, when works are badly thought of; you have your own mind, diff’rent...from the rest; you think, you create diff’rent as they......do diff’rent... your style manifests your values and opinions, your words mirror them... your free verses and haikus...earn their own sparkle, draw their own audience... tinged with black humor, or mild sarcasm...it's YOU! your style defines.....YOU! we’re a world of poets diff’rent folks with diff’rent strokes we sting......stoke..........we touch... Diff'rent
When would a thorn and petal, look so unavailable. One sharper than any wit, that would make you laugh at even the saddest moment. Smooth like sandpaper always saying the mostly badly timed replies... Yet her voice was scented and smooth. No matter what her words wrapped around, no offence could be taken. I offered her a rice crispy cake when we first met.. As she struggled for breath I started the kiss of life.. Then she grabbed her pen stabbing it in my arm not hers.. the blood and all I remember was lips on mine.. she'd managed to pen herself. I didn't realise she had a nut allergy. but as I awoke her lips breathing into me. I thought id repay the favour. I've never been kissed so passionately before death she said. I was her petal and she was the thorn. she'd giggle at a funeral, I'd cry thoughts of the past of what was cut short. but in her eyes, it wasn't sadness but joy, that so many had turned up to see you this last time. And the dreadful outfit you'd picked to spend eternity in.

The Petal Wrapped Around A Thorn
We are all locks, that only a few keys can unlock. But you weren't like the others, you picked mine and discarded it. From then on, I was always open to you..

Open To You
If we were each a penny,          and were thrown in to a wishing well. We would float,      because who wants to be like all the rest.. Its always good to be yourselves,             not  to drown in a well of others  wishes of how we should be.

Throwing a penny
Life is never a plan, there is no map. But lets get lost in it together.

Diversity
We are all thoughts that aren't as tuned as others. But even though we see through different lenses some lessons can be learnt from the refraction of others view.

Diffrent Lenses
She was the one who said yes When everyone kept saying no She was the one who asked questions When everyone kept silent She was the one who whent left When everyone was walking right She was the one who touched the sky When everyone one was kissing ground I was the one who got insipired By curiousity and interest of hers I was the one who followed Through her open doors Where everything is alive Where everything is alright Where screams are right Where curiousities live Away from dusty boxes Of already forgoten people Who didnt think or feel That there is another way She was only one sane in this world Of plain things surrounded by coldness Without her I would be lost in numbness Dying slowly or already gone She gave me answers To questions I didnt know that exist She showed me colors That nobody sees Maybe she just got me insane?

For my friend
Some of us are just carbon copies of others wanting to be other than ourselves. We should embrace our individuality, or become stale, weaker copies of another.

Eroded Copies Of Others
The Moon would like to let everyone know that it is done It is sick and tired of chasing after Earth No matter how beautiful it seems It always ends the race two steps behind But dear moon doesn't have the whole story You see the Earth is also chasing after love But it does not pine over our dear Moon It hungers for the Sun The last 4.5 billion years spent In the sun's soothing lullaby Its oozing radiation, and humming warmth Butterflies flutter at its core But ill-fated as all love story's are There is no love left to return You see, The Earth's surface is a little too bumpy for the shining sunrise Don't blame the sun it did not call upon this bewitching manner The sun is not believed to be apart of this foolery It is not in enchanted by the all powerful It does not fall in love Nor does it spin for another It stays in motion for no one It is a humming ball of fire Burning everything in its path You tell me a good love story I shall call you a fool You label me pretty I shall label me Sun For just like it I am my own sunrise I can, shall, and will Ignite Ignite my prince charming Ignite all such fairy tales I am not you're pretty princess Puckered lips and giggled laughter I am the queen who shall show no mercy I will show you true meaning Of fire Of fear Burned bodies turned to ash Ignite my darling Ignite

Ignite
Where footprints in the sand once stayed, one is now washed away.. And we look around hoping one day ours will be joined by another's. Different from before, But for now we walk on the beach looking at each sunrise, because there is always another day..

Faded Love, Footprints In The Sand
A square that was a little twisted Didn't want to lay on his side like everyone insisted Instead he wanted to stand on his pointy end Look and see just what become of him Because he did not want to be like all those that had come before He'll now be a diamond, forever more

A Little Square
Opposites never so much the Same, one warmth, one cold Each a measurable effect on The other. Heat melts cold, then steams Of passion unfold, where once was rage, now soothed upon By cold calm words. That breath Relief upon radiating heat, now Cooled but not hot neither cold. Difference is not always negative Not always bad, from difference A new respect can be had. one Warmth, one cold, but never more the same as when love unfolds.

Diffence Makes For A better Change
The color of your skin, It sings perfection to Me. The shades of color in you window eyes, Allows Me to see only you. The outside is just human, It's the soul hidden, That makes you far more different. The soul that's hidden, That's what beauty is.

What Beauty Is
The thoughts crowd me Scratch at my mind, A thousand crows fly around It rains black, Feathers float down In slow motion like snow Each different, unique, They continue to fall. My mind confused the feathers Bloat out light of thought Confusion, Disorientation, Am I losing my mind I see a mirror dive though Serine, Calm, Like after a storm, The thoughts that scratched Now flown away, All that is left is a single feather, A reminder that thoughts Can claw, scratch at your mind Consume you in darkness, But wash it away, And all that is left is you and a clam mind.
