i'll dye a thousand roses black
just to try and remember the joy
when you gave a dozen to me for any occasion,
if there needed to be one at all.
as i write these words onto paper,
i think about how much i still love you
and how much i wish you still were here.
i'm sorry we didn't last forever like we wanted to,
but please don't ever forget about me.
