my grave is green [ cracked with vines, overgrown with grass ] rain trickles through the thin crevices touching my withered bones with forgetfulness silent caress of the wind over the old stone swallowed by moss whispering trees bend over the marble a lonely sign among the fields hushed memory of the night that once devoured the day I placed my soul in wild birches in a hidden grove in wet moss and silent leaves where no one can k i l l m e a g a i n

Once a death was enough to awake the sleeping souls, Now bodies outspread in the gore, Some snivel, some celebrate the victory, Victory of won the war, War; which is making us deadpan! By: Nida Mahmoed

War making us Deadpan
In the woods where light never penetrates Where only the dark oak grows. Permeating The air does the barks sap seep unto the Surrounding never letting lights magnificence Pierce its veil darkness in this place grows. Black leaves as dark and rigid as coal, all That land upon their veins where the light Of life flourished was drank, Like an Autumn leaf does this empty husk now Cursed grey, gently slump greeting the floor. In this darkened place of soulless sap, Where leaves are black and veins feast upon life. A glimmer of light floated Above the canopy, a single breath of Sunlight touching the core of a young Sapling showing it the light banishing The influence of darkness away. As the little one grew where blades Of raven tried to cut it down, shards Now turned supple and green. Spreading Life where only darkness loomed, The Green leaves did reflect light unto the Dark piercing into this  mournful place. It was but one in a crowd of many, but That ray of sunlight every morning widening Its energies, as grass grew greener in glazed Darkened place. it was a beacon of life growing Stronger everyday, and when all the leaves of Raven black had fed their last, and life was in Its place then this would be a day when sunlight Shone banishing the darkness every single day.

The Black Wood
Slipping in & out of gravestones  & tombstones, She whispers words upon the carvings Sleep, Sleep, Sleep Well, in this slumber of death You have earned this eternal rest You were of the living but past to the dead, You earned what eyes closed shut need And that is rest. Sleep, Sleep, Sleep My still, motionless friends For this is eternal this moment That death gifted, never worry what Happens as you now reside in the Fields of Stone, Words, Silence Speak volumes, as tears fall like raindrops Each misses that moment But know it has passed. Rest in your bed of silk and wood As she slips in & out of Gravestones & tombstones, she speaks to the dead.

Slipping In & Out Of Gravestones & Tombstones,
*I Played cards with death, He asked me to pick, Pick what I said? A card it shall teach you of life I picked One, Then two, Lastly three, *Have you picked wisely Death aske me, King *Queen, Then the joker made three. Who will live the longest? Death pointed his ***** fingers, I looked, thought who would it be, I said the king or queen would be last Death cold stare looked at me. The king when visited Did try to buy his life from death, Death doesn't need gold you see But I gave the king a coin For the ferryman to take his soul. I said the queen would be my second guess, But again he looked coldly upon me, She asked me to be her king But I whispered I am the god of death to be a king would be no use me. She was taken again no use of gold But I once again gave a coin . It couldn't be the jester? A creepy smile feel upon his face, Death said, what is life with out laughter I came for him, he made me laugh He did an impression, He impersonated me, I laughed out loud, I hadn't done that in A million years. So I told  keep others laughing I will give you and those extra years But like all I will come for thee, So the tale was told. Laughter is a way to keep life going But everyone will be visited,* King, Queen, Jester You and me Just keep laughing it will add on years to your life.
