I stare into your eyes while you speak, as though the stars are arranging themselves for a meaning I may never fully grasp. Your voice does not simply reach me… it settles within, like an echo in a cathedral long after the hymn has ended. When sleep takes you, Your breathing becomes the only clock I trust… each rise a fragile mercy, each fall a reminder that nothing mortal is promised. You speak of rooms within your mind where even light walks carefully. I stand at their threshold without demand, knowing that devotion does not require invitation… only patience. You say you feel safe beside me. I carry those words with trembling hands, as one carries a candle through the wind… shielding it, knowing it may still go out. Joy visits us, but it does not linger loudly. It moves like dusk… quiet, solemn, certain of its fading. And sometimes I wonder whether we stand beneath the same sky or merely endure it side by side. There are questions I no longer chase. There are answers I no longer require. And still… I remain.
