All talk no action Accountability not even a fraction Surmount humility Profound inaction Abound rigidity Tall walk short stature The American way Work force pays for the CEOs big payday Do as I say Not do as I do Under the guise of "we want to improve" It's so easy to see their ego's fragility with the words they use

The rich never get poorer the poorer get the shaft the rich buy yachts and villas as they laugh, and laugh We've tried taxing the one percent only to find, that's passed along to everyone that's not that rich the same ol dance, and song Lets tax the corporations what oh, what, could go wrong? tax sheltered deliberations not short lived, but ohhh, so long The Democrats have no answers the Republicans, even less there's never a way to reform when they're part of all that's wrong

It's just the way it is... (some things will never change)
A million people drinking Their lemon-flavored tea A billion bottles floating Upon a poisoned sea Within each bottle there's a note To peeps who find the plastic shell It's just a slip of paper From the manufacturer from hell. The water pipes in old Detroit Are poisoning kids dead Because the linings have worn off And underneath was lead Pollution will run red as blood The sun as black as coal While the fat cats who caused it Relax on sandy shoals. How can we prevent this? Is Recycling the way? Hasn't helped much that I see I prefer to PRAY. SoulSurvivor November 2021

Wasteland
No need to worry, they really do care They'll fight fires with floods, droughts with monsoons If things go to **** they'll go to the moon If you get too hot, they'll smoke out the sun They've even got discounts on water and air! No worry, no fretting, no fear They won't tolerate hunger They'll beat sickness with numbers They'll hire us all on To build them a new atmosphere

They Care
Goverments, royalty and big corporations, Slowly over taking every nation, Poison in the water, Poison in the food, It is no wonder we wake in a foul mood. Follow us blindly like good little sheep, we still your freedoms while you flutter and sleep, Do not question, only repeat, Follow our orders and gain our **** **** away blindly you silly little fools, you will not see us bend the nations rules. This is our little bubble that you will not burst, It is your freedoms that we thirst!

The Myth of the Carpetbagger Pt. 1
Hey buy me a Mac And a soda pop fizzin Suprise *** for your body If you were in prison Its easy, its cheap Its a kardashian wife It will fill you up a while And shave years off your life Whats even in it? Not even god really knows You gotta get sherlock holmes To deduce what you chose Hey kids have some more They dont want you to finish Mow it, chow it, and don't stop till your shaped like grimace Every combo Has a number one through six But they are all number twos If you can catch my drift What did you expect They turned your smile to a frown Just like the rest of the world place is ran by a clown Looks so inviting Mac's appeal, is so discreet But they're more about the land And you are what you eat

some say the world is out of kilter others predict that things are always getting worse and humankind is doomed to some terrible       though unspecified   fate yet others see the second coming of their god within their lifetime     somehow     ‘no future’ seems to be     the fashion of the day what if      rather than just complain      about how wrong things are      feel sorry for ourselves      and conjure up the end of our days we take some action don’t leave decisions in the hands      of corporations and ‘professionals’ and the 1%     of politicians who are puppets     of lobbyists and billionaires what if      the 99% wake up and cast their votes      in their own interest rather than that of candidates      who eloquently advocate      simple solutions for complex problems      showing           without knowing it      that they really have no clue      what they are talking about      what if      we decide to elect leaders      who actually drink the water they are preaching      who after they’re elected also walk their talk            stick to their programs      keep their promises      to make            with our help     the world a better place what if ……

what if
We battled for our freedom What a shame to lose it now. We need to fight again. Make some swords out of our ploughs. The enemy is within us Look around, you’ll see them now. Don’t let the crazies win! Glory doesn’t come so easy. Politicians can be ****** ***** Grumpy Doc and Sneezy Are brighter than our Congress. Equal rights and freedom Were the watchwords at the time The founding fathers met And made the opposite a crime. Then rich men came along And showed us how to act like slime. Don’t let those criminals win! Glory doesn’t come so easy. Politicians like things ****** Washington is getting wheezy When corporations cheat! They take away your rights And make sure your vote will never count. And say they are agreeing With a bunch of no-accounts. They’ll wait ‘til you’re not looking And then legally they’ll pounce. We’re **** near on the brink! Glory be to God almighty. There’s no time for being flighty. They’ll leave us nothing but our nighties! It’s closer than you think!

BATTLE FOR THE REPUBLIC
We are taught what to believe as children, So maybe that's why, People defend their religion, With the same fervor they defend their economic system.

Jesus and corporitocracy
Don’t ask me to wish you luck with all your money You spent your time pretending but who’s kidding who Now you walk away into the sunset that you finally noticed Justified by the praise of people who want to be just like you What echoes in my mind is rejection of the message There are shadows upon my future as if it even exists The weather is not a summer breeze but a still day There is no reassurance for a man who resists But what did they learn from your gift of callous focus? Ruining people’s lives was just something you had to do It didn’t matter because the enterprise was your mistress You tried to hide it but she was all that was inside you I thought it was creating a need where there was none Or impressing someone who wished they had an office But the ink that couldn’t be recycled recorded a past I hate I wonder if the man who threw it away has clinched fists Who would relish in destroying a working man’s pride Where are you when he has to tell his family he’s lost How hard can life be when they laugh at all your jokes Except the ones who know your warmth will turn to frost A vacation without rain isn’t too much to ask is it? But how do rapids form waiting for someone like me I’m willing to stand under the falling tears of heaven I won’t ask nature to be something it wasn’t  meant to be You have to learn to say thank you but not really mean it Every pleasantry has a price like every dollar paid is a loss His wife waits for him to come home knowing his mind won’t But the old wine is the dividend from him being the boss I wanted to be everything you have ever dreamed about But you didn’t know you had to live with another man’s ambition I wonder if we could move to a small town and leave it all behind I just want you to believe in me and not someone else’s vision

Our golden world has a twisted spine It's face is darkened with a shadowed mind The fault in the stars of human kind Manipulating each other time after time Upon our children's corpses with greed we shall dine When indifference wins, the corporations deny Like an angered child shreaking "NEIN!" Here stands the hooded mask of a darkened face The familiar truth of our beautiful race Passing slowly, painfully with time Will go the golden world with the twisted spine

Twisted Spine
One turns to the other Speaks in a triangled tongue The other turns its back And says what should be sung One withdraws its claws The other is likely to pause

Walking along the river, side by side She asked, “Have you forgotten how to sing?” To which She heard no reply Our planet isn't dying It's being killed And I will remain unfulfilled Until I pick up the pieces and help Rebuild

the river's song
Waiting in the forest Rain in my face Pune needles under my feet Free& naked, we are here There are no businesses to fund No corporations to protest Only us. Only now. Me. You. The dirt & the trees That's all there is in this moment
