#closefriend
I thought I'd lost you To harsh words and lies Each day was a mess With no one to talk to No shoulder for my head to rest We pass each other by Wondering when our war would end Not a war of fire But of cold, cold ice You smiled at me one day And I smiled back It was a start For today Where we finally talked And you didn't hate me And my fears Were your fears And we had thought our friendship was gone But it had ended The wall between us I could finally hold your hand and say, "It was terrible being at war with you." And you replied likewise

The Aftermath
For as long as I can remember You've been by my side I helped raise you when we were young And you raised me in turn. Through thick and thin, Through fire and flames, You've always been there for me We've always had each other. But when I went to wake you up, your body was cold and stiff i wish it was a dream i picked you up and held you close, and cried, and cried, and my friend, i have not stopped crying since farewell my friend, i wish for us to meet again

Farewell
Power can change everything                                                           A man I once knew Cared about being true He had his heart broken                                             No liable way of coping                                                       obsessed with winning                                                 Always grinning                                                                                     No one knew his pain Hiding away his shame                                                                     People loved him                                                       scared of judging                                                                 Changed his ways                                                                               for a glimpse of fame                                                             doing anything to feel again                                         He gave into the earthly way                                       But one day he will know                                                         After all the power How he will feel at his last hour           Stooping so low                                                         The journey is the best part                                                               Be proud of how you got there                                                           End the way you start
