as a moth to a flame
my candlelit prayers
Angels dance around.

an illuminating candlelight flickers
a cold wind whispers
snuffing the flame
yet i still find i can see
in this pitch darkness
am i luminescent?
or just another creature of the night?

Under the sunlight, I am only a candle,
shaking in the arms of the slightest breeze.
It’s pretty, like youth they speak of in poems,
but it never lands the same on me.
Anger, comparison, insecurity, my heavy breath.
Tears and these headphones
are the only air I know how to breathe.
Loving myself
harder than teaching fire to bow to the earth.
Gravity feels kinder than grace.
Yet in the caves where no one remembers the way,
I can still paint the dark in gold.
I can still make the cold feel warm.
I am needed.
I am loved.
Sometimes.
So tell me
do I give my light to this moment,
spill every flame into the night,
or keep it sleeping in my chest,
fearing the day when morning arrives
with a sun too cruel to touch,
and a rain too tender to notice
when it drowns me?

Oh my dark pain,
Won’t you let any cracks to beam?
You deprived free will from my happiness —
Now they wander like fugitives
In their own hometown.
Tiny crumbles of faith
Fear to cluster
Because of you.
Leave some seats for the light.
I’m shivering like a candle’s tiny flare
Alone in the night.
Tell the thunders to call a ceasefire,
Let the clouds calm down.
Don’t blow so hard—
Just breathe,
Stoke my fire up.
Face the truth:
This war
Will never end.

I dreamt of our house, which doesn't exist...
I'll light a candle in it and greet the dawn.
I'll feel sad by candlelight. I'll be missed.
I want you'll be near me in our house for long!
I'll walk into the garden, which doesn't exist...
I'll pick white camomiles and make a bunch.
I'll put it on the table. It'll be my feast.
Just fly into my dream! I please you much!
We'll stroll in a forest, which doesn't exist...
I'll mass there an armfull of autumn leaves.
I'll throw them into the sky. They'll be a mist.
And they'll be falling slowly under the breeze.
I dreamt of our house. And maybe is it?
It's somewhere over the hill, green all.
The garden is so very overgrown. I'll revive it.
I'll light the candle for you to come for all.

Warmth of candlelight
Sweet with our loves caresses
Within the Rose moonlight

Not long ago
the twilight called you into her arms;
into to the depths of the unknown,
left your name in the care of this world
sweetest sound that leapt from your mother’s lips
and ours.
The tides where you are is unperturbed
by the mortal wind,
and in the clouds a garden sprawls
and thrives at the tip of its universe.
We can only imagine.
If such letter scribbled here shines a light; if our candles burn
may you find it a star in the night.
You are no more,
no more to share this borrowed life;
no more treading in the stream of time;
no more but with me still, stirring yet ever still,
shattered heart never heals.
as the last rays of the sun through the window of your room dim,
Your soul is lit up in our dreams,
as though a candle that eternally burns,
I bid time, return
for you my father had taken flight,
silence lingers in restless nights,
where you be, you be
for we shall have our time,
to reflect on this life; the endless sea
for too, shall we; in the crossroads meet the end of our journey: an inevitable destiny
and where you be, we be.

*Onto a crumpled, weathered parchment
he bleeds out his love for her
And she, in turn
finds words, that wax poetic
Flowery words. pretty words
Words that rhyme,
quarter tones of time
Flowers, hearts, peer-laden smiles
lined up-- all, in a pretty little line
There is a spattered blood,
on tattered parchment, still
and, still.. no less mine*

I watch the candle flicker
Moonlight streaming through
My open window
A soft breeze dancing along my skin
This is it, I think
What happiness is
This serenity, calming feeling
Where nothing bothers me
And I feel nothing at all
I was wrong.

Flicker, little candlelight
While you still can
Until you're the last wick still lit on the candle stand

eden is hands
covered in ink stains
from my soul escaping
onto the pages
of tattered notebooks,
listening to the rain
fall softly on the window
like a lover's kiss
upon my shoulder
while the amber haze
of candlelight
burns slowly,
gently dancing
in golden celebration
across the darkness
just like the flames
that swallow me at your touch.

He put up a smile,
as the candlelight shone amidst the darkness beckoning his soul.

Call me when it's dark
I will bring a candlelight
Keep me in within your reach
Keep me in you sight
Call me when it's dark
Let's keep this candle burning bright
Sing to me your songs
We will make it through the night
Call me when it's dark
Bathe in the life of this dying light
Don't hold your tears
We have losses even when we fight
Call me when it's dark
When things aren't going right
We will blow the candle
I will hold you tight
Keep you in my arms
Even after the losses and the fights
Tell you that this world full of chaos
Wakes up to see your light.

We are stars wrapped in skin
A universe in ecstatic motion
Having a heart pulsating like a supernova
and eyes made of stardust
that shines bright in the darkness.
Thoughts like candlelights
Flickering on and off.
So protect your light
Protect your flame from the ice of others
Let it burn, let it burn brighter
Let it burn from within till it’s out
Let your light shine, whatever form it may be.
