Hush! See no evil and speak not of it Blind, deaf, tied of tongue Speak not! You will survive It’s not you they’re after Yet Your brethren - They lie dead Buried (or not) Their lands salted Seeded with despair Terror The only crop they may bear Hush! Speak not and keep quiet Of hither and thither’s plight Others will see to it The onus isn’t mine Children dead, their wounds gaping Dead, to mindless aping Broken and starved Their minds thus carved They’re a danger to you and yours! (or so they say) Bomb another hospital A thousand miles away. We see no evil Speak of it no more Silence is a choice Compassion a chore!

Liturgical Silence
It is strange, That I glimpsed you once from afar In passing And I saw you Abandoned. In disrepair and I thought you were Beautifully tragic. You were alone and I did nothing I did nothing I did nothing but watch you crumble I saw you again today Again in passing And I found that you had been Saved. Someone had picked you up And gathered your pieces They built you back up and I did nothing I did nothing I did nothing but watch you stand.
