I give up.
The world can keep on happening around me
Earth can spin endlessly, I must stop caring.
I will not observe, I will not connect
I will stay in bed and watch tv
I will let my problems be
The world can keep on happening around me
I'm no longer part of it
I'm just a thing in the surroundings
I do not have to matter, it is liberating to think of it
I don't matter, never did, never will
So I can do whatever I want in the limits of what I can do
With the money I've been given
With the family I've been given
With the face and body I've been given
I will do what I can, not my best, just what I can
Because I decided that
The world can keep on happening around me
And I will not be part of the happening
I will be as quiet as rivers flowing
I will live like a bird, a fish or a flower
Quiet and inhuman.
