#bribery
I was introduced to the act of bribery before I could barely walk, talk and react. "DON'T CRY Baba- Be like a Good Boy"- and this trivial act would get rewarded. This marks the beginning of every transactional relationship. A chocolate for silence, A toy for obedience, Promises wrapped in glittering papers- Nobody called it corruption then. The subtle act of bribery hit under the tenderness of my parents. Years later, The same lessons entered classrooms. "Score good marks and we'll buy you whatever you want". Education slowly turned into auctions, Where certain subjects like maths and science stood with higher price tags. As adults, the rewards only became expensive- the ranks were bought with heavy money- Now that even ambition amalgamated with monetary benefits. Aftermath, Money slid beneath desks, Promotion hid inside envelopes. And honesty, it only reflected a foolish lunacy. Then, society draped bribery in gold and cash, named it marriage. Dowry- calculated under a man's worth, land, job, cars, social status. Love- Even it had entered in the race of negotiations. And somewhere, between childhood and adulthood, I finally realised- Ghoos was never money alone. I suspect it is my whole life that's running through every possible act of bribery. And perhaps, we never hate corruption, when we are indulged.

Ghoos
Where, oh where has this money been? It's been up to London to buy me a woman. When you'd had your pleasure, what else did you there? Took in a live show, some sights to enjoy. When you had seen, what did you then? Went home to the wife, a yarn to spin. Did you not waste such hard-earned cash? I need the excitement, the seedy thrill. Where, oh where has this money been? Changed hands in a back street for needle and syringe. What was then done to inject some feeling? A little ****** just to keep me going. But what about AIDS and *** It's one of those things that won't happen to me. How do you finance such expensive tastes? Sell stuff to kids at the going rate. Where, oh where has this money been? It bought me a meal and a little something to drink. How did you earn this financial gain? Begged it off some geezer down the Embankment. Why are you out here sleeping so rough? It's a long tale of women, gambling and drink. What of these others with whom you share this door? Just poor bleeding kids with no ******* jobs. Where, oh where has this money been? It bought me a contract with a few back handers. And who did you bribe for their deceit? Oh, it wasn't bribery, just a little commercial grease. What will you build to make your mark? Another block of flats, fully air-conditioned. On what in the past is your empire built? Prostitution, gambling, and a few tons of drugs.

***** Money
Drops round and run down low Mud forms and creates tiny valleys within. Red roads drop and rises , As insults flashes like thunder bolts. Horns deafen ears, As blood blinds eyes . Rollercoaster highways, Or more like riding a bull, Feel the aches in the waist. Infact the mechanical horses were older  than earth herself. You could see holes and rust  in the metals. The government stood by the red road idle, accepting fines and kinds. If only they had listened to their cries, Blood would still remain in veins.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
The Dummocraps and RepubLIE-CONs Are engaged in a devastating war. The RepubLIE-CONs hate everyone The Dummocraps hate decisions more. While the RepubLIE-CONs are engaged In selling away the public’s rights, The Dummocraps fight among themselves And bring confusion to the fight. So, the RepubLIE-CONs don’t need To bother tearing Dummocraps down, They just stand back and watch while Dummocraps knock each other around. Any effort the Dummocraps try to make Ends on a pathetically useless note Because over half the Dummocraps Don’t even bother to go and vote. The RepubLIE-CONs, on the other hand Have an insane, but vocal minority That are paid very well to do as told By an even smaller, rich minority. So, a country that is mentally lazy And generally stupid in the bargain, Lets itself get tangled up in lies Propaganda and obfuscating jargon. It’s all really that easy, it seems When you look at what is true. The voters in this country feel That voting is too hard a thing to do. So, they sit on their ***** and then Complain at every law they pass That robs them of their place in life And destroys all but the upper class.

DUMMOCRAPS AND REPUB-LIE-CONS
We are the Republicans! Kneel and bow! We are superior! All kowtow! We deal in campaign funds Hand and fist. We believe in oligarchy With a twist! We hate democracy We spit in our hats. We hate all poor people Especially Democrats. We think equality Is a crime. Back to the nineteenth century Doubletime. There is no place here In our fine land Where we give the votes To our field hands And women who should all Be in the kitchen Instead of out carrying signs And publically ******** We are the Republicans! Kneel and bow! We are superior! All kowtow! We deal in campaign funds Hand and fist. We believe in oligarchy With a twist! We believe in the Bible which We mostly never read. We think all non-Christians Should be dead. At least they should not be Allowed to vote. That kind of godlessness Gets our goat. The only kind of righteous men Are our own kind. Not gays, blacks and Mexicans! What are you, blind? We ran the show right all along White power! The day the other kinds acted up Was an evil hour. We are the Republicans! Kneel and bow! We are superior! All kowtow! We deal in campaign funds Hand and fist. We believe in oligarchy With a twist!

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL ANTHEM
If you are sitting in government With fattened campaign coffers And your pockets filled up With all the bribes and offers Just be aware that the gifts You take with each breath Are the direct cause of decay And of your constituent’s death. You’re selling off our birthright And that never can be made right. You choose money rather than fight And you make of it a long night. While the police ****** people Who had no guns in their hands You send tanks to small towns And claim it’s all very grand, Because in a police state You can control our very fates And slowly disassemble The future of the United States. Your kids are killing elephants Along with rich kids in their band While ours are shooting innocents In a war-torn foreign lands. The decisions are being made By those who have the wealth And that way there is less reason For any kind of political stealth. You can steal whatever you want And use both hands at once Then, laugh and call us names Like uneducated, fool and dunce. We’re starving while you fatten We’ve no hatches left to batten. From Los Angeles to Manhattan You make speeches in garble-Latin. You’re selling off our birthright And that never can be made right. You choose money rather than fight And you make of it a long night.

PLAIN WORDS
Let’s scrabble to rouse the rabble, The massive blithering and blathering, Make protests ring above the babble And set foaming mouths lathering, When our country and its youth, Newly awakened and newly wise, Stand up and demand the truth Instead of the usual pack of lies. The rich get the wheat And we get the chaff Then the rich sit back In their palaces and laugh. What has served as intelligence Has put this country in a bind By people with no common sense. Supposed adults just voting blind Based on ideas without merit. Those with money get a pass And let the taxpayers bear it. Then the rest take it in the *** The ‘haves” drink wine And we drink water Maybe sometime soon They’ll come for your daughter. The people we have elected Saw a shaky foundation laid Have left us mostly unprotected And massive bribes were paid. The wealthy among us got a pass So now just the rich have a voice And the poor and working class Have no effective voice. The wealthy get shoes And we get bare feet. We learn to live our lives In postures of defeat. This is the age of communication; We have to look at what we are doing. We still can save our weakened nation. And maybe start some careful suing. Let’s vote out the Couriers of Hate; Hold these ******** to their vows. To stand up to their inequities We need to start right now. The rich get the wheat And we get the chaff Then the rich sit back In their palaces and laugh.

CLARION CALL
We’re slowly dying of thirst In the desert of Trickle Down. Allowing politicians to lie And constantly fool around With the laws, rewording them So, they leave us all out. Today, that’s what being a Republican is all about The GOP takes money And waves it in our face. They don’t know the meaning Of the word disgrace. They cater to the lobbyists And the riches they present. The kowtow and kiss the *** Of the holy one percent. If you are the kind of folks With no millions in the bank You don’t have a chance and You have the GOP to thank. They don’t like non-whites Nor non-Christians here. They wish you’d leave your money Then quietly disappear. While we’re on that Christian stuff Don’t get so carried away That you think Republicans Care what you have to say About the basic freedoms that The Constitution gives. They only mean it for themselves That’s where the issue lives. So, don’t you non-white citizens Think you can open carry. It’s just as sore an issue with them As gays who want to marry. It may be the law, but then The police are on their side. Those who thought otherwise Have suffered and have died. This is the Land of The Free okay If you play by Republican rules. Those who don’t believe that Are soon proven to be fools. This is the land of those Who can buy a public office, They feel the way you pray should Be ruled by Republican caucus.

DEATH BY G.O.P.
Conservative these days now means The richest are the few who glean The wealth that exists in our land. The rest of it is sleight of hand. After decades of this foolishness We have grown weary of your mess. We don’t think we can ever win This country back to from you again. You seem to hate those who are non-rich And include them in every austerity pitch. You refuse to help them feed their brood Then pay the farmers not to grow food. You cover yourself with glowing self-praise; People starve, you grant yourself a raise. You stand before the rich and genuflect And subject your constituents to neglect. You want every child to be born Then vote to have their allotment shorn. You seem to want them not to thrive; You only protect them until they are alive. You send the soldiers to march and die And deny them benefits. Tell us why. Is it because you have your wealth And no longer care about their health? The most hateful game you always play Is making the voters look another way. While you make laws that take their rights You engage them in unimportant fights About who is sleeping with whom today And who is straight and who else is gay. Or you worry the people about war While you funnel subsidies by the score. You pay your friends and give them jobs Then call your opponents egregious slobs. You engage in double-talk about the facts And claim calumnies are helpful acts. You accept your fortunes from commerce And agree to treat the populace worse. No matter how often you rearrange things You edits end up being very strange things. We need to hear our own clarion call And push this kind of politics to the wall. We must do more than hope for liberty And once again fight for the land of the free. We can’t just sit around at home and mope. As it is, today, we can only sadly hope That some liberty you will choose to take Will cause the regular people to awake.

Micah The Mouse was a rat; At least that’s how he behaved. If he didn’t get his way every time He’d holler and he’d rant and rave. He got to be such a big mouse That his head swelled up too. He became so hugely obnoxious Other mice didn’t know what to do. They held a spontaneous election. They needed to elect a top mouse. Micah bribed the weaker leaders So, Micah got the run of the house. He kept up his pattern of bribery And threatening those in his way. Without anything like scruples He’s still on the throne to this day Micah The Mouse takes with both hands And it’s too bad if anyone disagrees. Those who think he cares about complaints Will spend a lot of time on their knees. In Micah got horrendously fat By overeating just a tiny smidge. He got to be so much like a big rat He grew too heavy to cross the bridge. So he roared and ranted and raved. And blamed everybody around him. That he was the cause of his problems Seemed to completely astound him. The wonder in all of this sad story Is why the other mice could not see That Micah was only in it for himself And not for members of the citizenry. Micah got to eat while others starved. He got what he wanted, moved on Yet somehow those that elected him Never quite seemed to catch on. Micah The Mouse takes with both hands And it’s too bad if anyone disagrees. Those who think he cares about complaints Will spend a lot of time on their knees. (Image from www.sharktacos.com)

MICAH THE MOUSE
Sing a song of slick men Pocket full of lies. Four and twenty fat cats Terribly unwise. When the truth was spoken They don’t even try. They’re immune to reason And they get all the pie. Sing a song of no sense And how they persevere How they get elected Year after year Still they have no scruples; Ethically impure, They still win out in the polls. Why is still unclear. We should build a big fence And lock them all inside. Then impound their fortunes Wherever they hide. Let them see for sure how Crooks we can’t abide. See if they can stand each other Living side by side. Sing a song of statesmanship Nearly gone extinct Senators and gangsters Not so distinct. The rich still had their millions We lost the kitchen sink. Brought us all to near defeat And pushed us near the brink.

SING A SONG OF SLICK MEN
See the Republican, Hop, hop, hop. Hack up the welfare laws Chop, chop, chop. See him getting wealthy, Shop, shop, shop. Watch all our forests go Drop, drop, drop. Teflon coated Republican, Crook, crook, crook. Put him in a prison cell, Book, book, book. Fine him for every dime he Took, took, took. Check out his finances, Look, look, look. Hear the Republican, Lie, lie, lie. Selling out constituents, Sigh, sigh, sigh. Writing up new voting laws, Cry, cry, cry. Cutting breaks for all the rich, Why, why, why? Smell the Republican, Stink, stink, stink. Defender and a patriot, Wink, wink, wink. Master of the magic trick, Blink, blink, blink. Hater of the common man, Fink, fink, fink.

GEE OH ***
Habits Gluttony Greed Bribery Lustfulness Passed down Generation After generation After generation After generation Okay, I get it, it get it You get it, you get it. Let's get personal Born set up for failure My statistics not looking bright First baby born of color born into A family of strictly whites Grandmother beat my mother When she discovered The life forming inside of her Was half black - Don't cry mother, or I'll whither Inside of you. I grew and grew Taught lies upon lies About myself The other half of me. The only love I knew was of my mother. There was no other - Until she started to take it out on me Habits Passed From generation upon generation. She was sick and tired of being Sick and tired Stomped to the ground due to her Kindness Abused emotionally due to her Selfless-ness Mistreated physically due to her Weakness She took it out on me. Cornered me to a wall Choked me up Laughing - she couldn't get enough Of the amusement of my pain All done in vain Because she couldn't stop the strain Put on her brain. Scarring my face Pulling my hair Public places Not a care - Kicking Scratching Pulling Biting The agony The hate The battle wounds The hurt The scars - On my heart. Habits Passed from generation To generation To generation I was sick on the inside My heart - suffering - never ending bleeding My brain Psychologically ill Flashbacks I locked myself up in my room Head in pillow Screaming louder than your annoying baby sister who throws her unnecessary temper tantrums In the middle of the night. I tied myself up mentally Stuck Self-hate Self-abuse Self-hurt In the sixth grade I to myself - I wanted going to **** And my victim was myself. Filled with the poison - I was ill Injected with self-hate Hated my family Hated all my traits Hated all forms of humanity. Habits Passed From generation to generation To generation.
