#brands
Stitch by stitch, fingers move like ghosts in dim-lit rooms, eyes strained, backs bent, breath laced with dust and silence. A label whispers luxury, a name stitched in gold, but behind the seams, a child traces hunger with trembling hands. The clock does not sleep, nor do the hands that sew, woven into fabric priced in dollars, while wages shrink to cents. Promises drape the storefronts, Ethical. Sustainable. Fair. But behind factory doors, needles pierce more than cloth. Somewhere, a thread unravels, and a name is lost in the weave, a worker, a mother, a child. Their voices fade, but the machines never stop.

Threads of Exploitation
La Coste cap, Gucci glasses, Mr Porter white trainers Snapchat, Whatsapp, Insta You've been sending me messages About who you are You're the I in 'SelfIe' Charity shoes, bland jeans, non branded gear, Talking, smiling, laughing I'm sending you my response About what I value but you aren't listening Earpods in, zoned out You're not even attempting to listen to me You'll see I'm comfortable about being uncomfortable You are connected, I'm disconnected You want more, I want less Where does your message thread connect with mine? Which bit or byte do we sync on? We are both heating up ends of this silicon But when will we hope to share an emoticon?

the screen is shattered the fourth wall crumbled a brave new world we have to be part of lost in a sea of brands wants and needs that give us identity blurred lines between reality and dreams they have us and we don't even know, sleep walking into their life show

It’s really shameful to acknowledge the divisiveness of all denominations; a continuing lack of understanding is… diluting Love’s message of Salvation. The ongoing promotion of religious brands has not convinced or impressed the World; the wholeness of God’s holy Word must be embraced by everyone, as His boys and girls. These current disagreements and hostilities of religious debates waste our precious time; clearly a lack of Christian unity of beliefs blurs the position of Faith’s dividing line. Silly tendencies to argue, keeps us unfocused and separated from today’s task of evangelism; Christ died to unite us in fellowship with Him and not vying for the best speaker’s magnetism. Faith’s intimacy really permits us to become one with God in times of quiet reflection and prayer; religious brands are simply counter-intuitive, reducing our effective witness of Heaven’s flair. . . .
