Your magnificence drifts through my mind
like smoke through cathedral arches,
pulling me gently, endlessly,
into a serenity with no shore.
How I wish these trembling hands
could sculpt whole worlds from starlight —
to lay them at your feet
like offerings at a forgotten altar.
For you deserve the heavens entire,
and every sacred thing that breathes within them,
every hymn the cosmos hums
in the spaces between silence.
Oh, how I would rise to oppose
the celestial bard himself —
to spin from nothing
ethereal melodies so tender
the universe would pause
and lean in close to listen.
It is by grace alone
that love like yours takes form,
like dawn bleeding softly
through the membrane of the dark.
Each constellation opens its mouth
and lifts a song into the infinite —
and every star that wounds the night with light
holds a tale of you,
luminous, unending,
waiting since before time
to finally be told.

What is JWST? An innocent Q.
But deserving of prose. I knew just what to do.
It's ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ jwst our first space flower,
Unfurling it's hexagons.
Golden petals that thirst for ancient photons.
Jwst the thing that can see so much further than we
would have ever dared dream in the last century.
So you'd think it'd be hard to see our backyard,
After red galaxies melding with CMB.
But it's shadowy seat is what gives us the treat,
Of our hard to reach planets in infrared heat.
James Webb Space Telescope
Keeps surpassing all hopes.
30 years to develop. At least twice we went broke!
A 10 year orbital cosmology store.
It survived through max Q, and keeps giving us more.
30 years in the womb. Twas a legacy born.

Singularities merge. Excess energies purged.
A concentric spread spacetime vibrational surge.
Then that deep distant BURP rolled through Earth with a CHIRP.
Proving we could observe, and without optic nerve.
New physics! We cried. And all it implies!
We'll get LIGO in space, Nobels, and black ties!
Even Einstein stirred as the sigma concurred.
If the cosmos is waving, then E is conserved.
From let there be light, to electrified kites,
To lasers and mirrors observing the nights.
So let there be sound. Let the chaos be found.
To the stars we ascend, with knowledge unbound.

I, who is staring at the night sky,
Wondering if everything will be fine.
Beautiful stars made the evening bright,
Will never be the same without the light.
The beauty that caught my attention,
Feeling of emotional connection.
I wanted to give it my affection,
And relieving the ferocious corrosion.
Shining bright as the quasar,
Can be seen, even though it is so far.
Having the uniqueness of a pulsar,
No one will ever be on par.
Things that remained unknown.
The universe that which has grown.
More mysteries that are yet to be known,
Like the history of the pre-historic bones.
You, who are zooming like a shooting star,
Started the throbbing of my heart.
You are turning into a neutron star,
Pulling me closer like a magnetar.
The world that has no reverse.
Started changing after the converse.
One's known as the universe,
Has now split into a multiverse.

In this vast galaxy powdered with glitter,
(each more bizarre than the other)
two lone stars drifted too close,
fluttering amicably as planets and moons pass them by –
shyly gleaming in the clouds or
slyly glinting sparks to the Sun:
destined to fall out of orbit whizzing to detonate a
supernova...
