#arriving
You are a prayer
holding me together.
As migration sweeps down with its wings
and takes you,
I’ll wait my turn.
And when eventually I arrive,
will it be lonelier?
You spoke for me,
and now I’m left with years of silence.

Where are you my love
I've been side tracked..
Gotten off track
with tones that sounded as if it was yours.
And discovered it to be just noise..
Where are you my love.
I'm still waiting..
My heart was almost taken.
My mistaken after all this long time awaiting.
I know you will not ever leave my side
You would never come along just for the ride.
You have long awaited me to be.
Your extraordinary.
Clouds covering vision almost arising.
Your getting much closer to arriving..
Come to me my love!

The ships in my harbour lie and weep,
their wounds of salt, like secrets, seep.
Broken ribs cradle the quiet bay,
prayers of the past now fade away.
My fate a leaf, frail and torn,
scattered by winds where sorrow is born.
O my night, how shall I roam,
when the moon forgets its sky-bound home?
Your shadow rests where my eyes dream,
a golden sun within my stream.
Though roads may twist, they still conspire,
to lead me back to love’s bright fire.

I traveled to a far-off city one day
and found the journey quite lonesome, as I often do
Maybe because the trees passing by reminded me of what I left behind –
a piece of myself, a version of me that uniquely existed in that space
Or, maybe because the road on the horizon revealed what lies ahead –
uncertainty, possibilities, the cold and dark unknown
Or, maybe because of the memories that plagued my mind in transit –
an amalgamation of joy, grief, and everything in between
Perhaps, it was all three – after all,
The one who leaves
loses something more along the way
The one who arrives
begins with empty hands
And the one who remembers –
he is always alone.
