this thing we call love,
this magical stick,
why are we making a fuss about it?
why are we painting it like it's taller than
the mountains we cannot climb,
further than the skies we cannot touch, and
deeper than the oceans we cannot reach?
when in fact,
this powerful thing is just
a fascination, a flirtation of mind
with its skirted desires.
then again, what do I know
for I never been in love.
