You take me out of survival mode;
You look at me with such loving eyes;
You calm the storms inside my head,
Making space for the most beautiful sunrise.
For I have lived my life on urgency,
And setting goals that are far too high
Climb mountains after mountains,
Just to get burned out and sigh.
But with you, I can breathe easily
Stopped racing against an imaginary time
My systems slow down in your embrace,
And finally, for once, everything feels fine.

A winner does get beaten
But he doesn't succumb to defeat
With every punch that lands on him,
He feels the pain and he learns from it
He avoids being hit by the same error
And if he happens to get hit again,
he hurts, recovers and gets back at it again
Life may knock him down many times
But he chooses to bounce back each time
It does occur to him to give it all up but
He pushes on, strives with blood, sweat and tears
Until his set goals are achieved and/or exceeded
Only that most never see his struggling phase(s) and
they'll think & say it all happened overnight.
How he wished that it was that easy.

Much like your narrow minded logic

They underestimate me,

Spread your wings tonight,
And get ready to fly,
There is a life changing light,
Up there in the sky;
If you choose to stay back,
Definitely not with me,
No one stays in the dark,
And end up being free;
No matter how much the tears,
It won't be enough to wash your pain,
So join me lets overcome our fears,
There is so much out there to gain;
Remember this as we fly,
Make up your mind to see the light,
All you have to do is aim high,
Sucess is the only thing that's right;
So if you agree to fly with me,
We'll encourage eachother all the way,
Until we get there eventually,
And live happier lives every other day.
