1/4/2020 - Poetry form: Alliteration - Each poem in my Alliterative Alphabet Series describes conversations between two or more people while only using words that start with the first letter of the title of the poem. I’m publishing the poems as I write them on Wattpad.com, not necessarily in alphabetical order. My goal is to write at least 26 poems to cover each letter of the alphabet. I hope you find the concept interesting, maybe even clever. Most of all I hope you enjoy them :) - Copyright © Mark Toney | Year Posted 2020

Qui me brûlaient comme des phares engloutis
Dans un cimetière sous-marin.

Et soudain dans une déferlante
Surgie d'un galet bien lisse
J'ai vu les vingt-six os de ton pied droit
Reconnaissable entre tous
Juché sur ses orteils

Et j'ai crié : Apsara !

J'ai crié Zoé !

J 'ai crié Gradiva !

Et nous avons dansé et tournoyé

Au-dessus des trous noirs !
I fear that was, our last goodbye,
and I'll forever, be wondering why,
you took our love and threw it away,
while in my heart, that love shall stay.
I'd trade the world, for one last kiss,
or to just for a moment, be something you miss.
I'll see you soon, but you won't see me,
because you don't dwell, on what used to be.
When we see each other again next week, your eyes will just glance right past me, and I'll do my best to pretend mine do the same, but I know full well I'll steal a moment to stare at your perfection
And there never was a girl I loved quite like you,
but I'm sitting here thinking that we are through,
because how I can get back to how things used to be,
when I looked at you, and you smiled me,
and there we were kissing on that New Years eve,
didn't think one day you'd up and leave,
still, if you looked at me and smiled and said
"I love you boy get it into your head"
then I'd open my arms and I'd open my heart
because you my dear are a work of art.
