Remember me as a time of day in the same way you create an acute awareness of the sun beginning to stream through by the ill protective armor of your window.

As your alarm goes off in the morning remember me in those moments that you wipe the sleep away from your eyes and vaguely remember your dream which was once your most vivid reality.

Remember me like I am three hours past noon and you're reminiscing on the days that once existed when you would be dying to leave the four walls of your adolescent day job.
Remember me like I'm the comfort of your favorite jacket you would throw on to protect yourself from the cold, day in and day out.

Remember me like I'm 4:45 in the morning and you're in your teenage years contemplating if it's still okay for you to wake mom and dad out of their deep sleep just to go along with your love for Christmas morning.
In that time remember me like I'm the peace that surrounded you and the excitement that caused you to lose sleep.

Remember me as I'm seconds short of nine in the evening and you sit by the fire awaiting your favorite TV show.
In that moment remember me as the adventure you anxiously awaited your eyes to meet, and the shadow of the warmth cast around your feet.

Remember me as a time of day through sun up and sun down
whether there or not through time will I arrive by regards of the clock and I'll meet your mind as I stand watch.
Remember Me As a Time of Day is a piece inspired by one of my favorite music groups Explosions in the Sky. Furthermore inspired by someone that no longer exists in my daily life who I hope remembers me fondly as I remember them.
we have a clock up on the mantel
it's right just twice each day
but, when you get to my age
i guess that it's ok
i don't need clocks to keep in time
my body works for me
i don't need hands on an old clock
to tell me when to ***

my stomach says it's time to eat
the clock says ten past eight
it's three hours off as i can see
but, still ....i think it's great
the clocks been there through seven kids
four dogs, two cats, one wife
it's no wonder that with all of that
it barely has a life

you can still hear it try ticking
if you give it a good wind
i'd hate to look inside it
for fear of what i'd find
the cuckoo clock i used to own
went cockeyed, the bird died
i couldn't get the cuckoo back
no matter how i tried

i figure now at eighty six
that time has passed me by
i used to be quite punctual
i was just that sort of guy
but, now the clock up on my mantel
it's right twice...and i see
it's ten past eight again my friends
so...it means it's time for tea.
Two lovers meet
One day, in secrecy

Hearts warm as a pillow
of makhmal

The lover says to his love
“You are a pearl buried in the
ruins of the world
People come and go
they watch
But they cannot smell the kastoori
They laugh, eat, and joke with you
But they don’t see your heart”

The mirror slips from her hand
It falls down
She cries and with shivering hand
She says
Tear apart the wall
You’ll not need any windows anymore

makhmal: velvety leaves
kastoori: musk

You make a tent of
blanket
to cover my face
from the morning sun
and watch me breathe

When I move or growl
you kiss me with a smile
All this time
while I am still dreaming
you already know
what you are making
for breakfast

You gently stroke my body
With the feeling of a new touch
You don’t wake me up
but arouse me from my sleep
Caressing gently all over
you hug me close to your
heart
We make love
Even before we wake up
for the day

The crack came back- a shatter in the watch just in time for me to be broken as well.
Strange as it seems it may just signify myself, strangely it broke again when I feel closed in from all sides.
No where to go, no right move to make.
Something needed to be done.
Nothing seemed correct- nothing was painless it would hurt one way or another.
The bad guy ended up being me.
I ended up the end of all things..
I was the instigator, I made the maze and got lost in it.
The never ending labyrinth continued to lay out before me never showing me the easy path, never revealing the exit though that's what I wanted most.
I wanted out.
The pain the maze inflicted upon me was becoming unbearable.
Trepidation followed me through each turn like an unwanted shadow.
Fear of making the wrong turn.
But no one was correct.
Each brought on new trials that I hadn't wanted to face but I was forced.
The crack was a labyrinth of its own- the design had depth and length.
It's own twists and turns and you could almost see myself lost throughout the mix.
I own all Copy Rights, Punctuation in this poem is erratic, sorry:(

Watch from a distance as I go from sane to insane.
Watch from a distance as I lose control of my brain.
Watch from a distance as I snap and I break.
And I’ll watch from a distance because I know that you’re fake.

Watch from a distance as I make friends with my walls.
Watch from a distance as I rise after each time that I fall.
Watch from a distance as I ignore all of your pleas.
And I’ll watch from a distance as you fall to your knees.

Watch from a distance as I lose sleep every night.
Watch from a distance as I lose myself when I write.
Watch from a distance as I interpret my dreams.
And I’ll watch from a distance as you find out what that means.

Watch from a distance as I slowly go mad.
Watch from a distance as I never look back.
Watch from a distance as I become who I said I would be.
And I’ll wonder from a distance why I feel like someone’s watching me.

You are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People adore you while I watch from the trees
You handle yourself with dignity and pride
While I'm easily swept by the wind's blowing tide

You are a rose the most confident of them all
And I am a leaf that can easily fall
You have this beauty that radiates love
That beauty you have I could sense from above

You are a rose that can only stay in the grass
And I am a leaf that wishes to be with you at last
But you are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People will adore you, while I can only watch from the trees
