look up at space
the blank void
of everything
larger than any of you and i
leads us to realize
that everything slips away eventually
blank and black voids reside within you and i
only can we unlock what’s true
once we depart

Cracked and torn
Fuse with a little glue
Paint on a little green and blue
Give it a better view

Strings of new
Invisible fiber
Pulled up
Rise
Move without care
Move without dare
Dance of the puppet

Pirouette in the dark
Where the stars disappear
Dip low
Give it a swing
Right back up with a ring
Of a distant ear

Without cause or fear
There is nothing here
Upon this great stage
Besides a delicate doll
Dress it up and pull the strings
Letting ghosts and things
Haunt and torment
Oh the lament

Far below
Ice and stone
Chained beneath the surface
Oh how it ever does flow
Far above
Restricting movement
In the frigid waters

What is unseen
Left unspoken
Is hence unknown
Lost to the abyss
Of all that falls away

yesterday, on the peaks of the noon,
i climbed the ridge of silence, void,
and darkness, to have passed
about three nautical miles
i still was on the west side of the rout,
the boredom was so awake,
that I could feel it biting my patience
with its three relative teeth,
and then from the darkness
snowy peaks of the evening
were coming down on me
the word, God and you.

My heart is broken
Without you.

Soul is void,
With you.

And I reconcile,
Heal and arise,
Within you.
Such strange kinda love

nil
-

i have decided to
meditate on
nothing

by filling a moment
of voids with -

no parks
no dogs to walk
no children out playing
no cars cruising dead end streets
no boats in a river that flows nowhere
no fishermen having fish to fill their boats
no livelihood, no fish on a plate, no plate
to place back on the shelf, no shelf
to fix upon the wall, no wall
to hang photos, no photos
to look at, no faces
to recall,

nil,

just so maybe i can
feel the Universe
pour itself

back into me...

on and on it goes
deep into the past— and forward.
Still, on and on it grows
a spiral unfolding
                                eternity
sideways, upwards, downwards
   — inwards
                  on and on—
and where all— that could be imagined— meets
       is this now.
Is this now?
    there we all sway
        there we’ll all stay
shallower than light
empty— empty—         emptier yet.
and there we’ve been.
shining fires— vanquished stones
betrothed, sundered;
carved into our very own       e n tr opy
   and deformed back to cosmos.
we’ll be there—
when we are; or are not.
scattering like pollens.
      Unseen.
                       far—

far away from this now
this mesh of a single thread
         on           and on which goes
On— on still
as strings long passed whirl around us again,
and what’s to come late

— comes already.
we are. Are not we?

I was cold
sitting by a broken radiator
cursing it for leaving me warmless.

When the words are scarce

It's The Silence
that fills the void
Francesca Grey Oct 2020
they tell me that we’re made of stardust,
but i don’t feel like something so glorious.

i feel like the dark side of the moon,
like the space between worlds,
like the howling void,
and the empty cascade of dying suns.

i feel like silence,
like i’m screaming with no one to hear me.
