The sea treated us kindly,
falling into our open minds
and rushing back to the start.
We tumbled down in the
waves together, with the
earth all around us to
keep us young forever.
~~Keep me young.  ~~

He walks with himself
He is his own best company.
He pushes forward and you often do not notice
You ignore his plead but you see him wander
A breathing tumble ****.
Shrubbish, wobbly, and *****
He zig zags through the crowd
Sometimes he screams and he too cries
Just like you
Sometimes he trembles in the night
Just like you
Sometimes he dreams of better days
Just like you.
A brief and scattered poem about a homeless man I encountered.

Like a tumbleweed
caught
on a chain-link fence
surrounding the lot
where it grew,
I have found to
be humble is to need
what I'm not,
and that pain taught me uncommon sense...
thereby
grounding what has got
me through.

Whatever I thought,
I thought I knew
If I'm freed, I will crumble
and rot, remain sinking
in nonsense that I've misconstrued.

I know I do.
bit of an homage to my hometown; only recently did I realize that other places believe tumbleweeds aren't real, lol

I constantly tiptoe at the brink of insanity,
Continuously treading so close to its realm.
Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the trouble
Or if maybe, just maybe
It would be wiser
Smarter
Bolder
To welcome the insanity
And tumble in
Head first.

I'm walking in a field with green grass and pretty white flowers. The air is fresh and a cold breeze comes carrying the sound of birds singing. The sun is shining in the middle of the cloudless sky, so I squint my eyes. Wandering around in my own thoughts I find myself lost. I walk trough a shrubbery, with thorns and branches sticking out everywhere. As I walk my way trough I tumble down on my knees. I stand up with bruised knees and hands, realizing that I'm on the other side of the shrubbery, where the grass is gone. Only soil and molehills. The sun is hidden behind gray clouds and black shadows are circling around. A shadow comes dashing towards me. It lands right in front of my feet. It looks up at me with it's glistening red eyes. There's something so familiar, so tempting about it as it says the words:
*welcome back home.

This whimsical mask alight in my arms
Such a light, cheery laugh
Surely I mean no harm

Just a little, slight push and it's up on my face
Now I tumble and flip
To the clouds I give chase

For I am the tumbler, the jester, the clown
I make people smile
I chase away their frowns

With a flip of my hat and a twist of my tongue
I make all the oldest
Of tales seem young

I am the gleeman, the poet, the bard
I see your future
In the face of my card

So come watch me now, as I put on a show
I'll make you laugh
As this happy crowd grows

The human experience.
It's the others we encounter.
Those we share more with than with even our own minds.
Those we would die for
Give up everything we own for.
Those we cannot fathom a life without.
Those whose laughter is contagious
Those whose smiles cause our smiles
Those whose pain compels us to feel it just as deeply.
They're our air
They're our shelter
They're our nourishment.
Our worlds would collapse without them.

The human experience.
It's the times when we lose them.
When we push them away
Because we can't understand why the world is what it is
Or why we are who we are.
It's when they're stolen from us
Because of life's cruel mysteries.
Or the times they dispose of us
Without explanation
And we can't apprehend why
Or how to move on
Or so much as attempt to face the world without them.

The human experience.
It's the times our lives cave in.
When everything goes tumbling down
Like an avalanche of our sanity
And our naively made-up stability.
The toppling piece that once made up our worlds.
When everything we know
Everything we live and breathe
Everything we are
When it all slips away.
When we lose our innocence
Our faith in humanity
Our once-invincibility.
When it's taken from us.
Or we leave it to the dust.
It's the moments we feel clueless.
Helpless.
Hopeless.

The human experience.
It's the times we pick up the pieces.
When we learn who we are
Understand who we were
Realize who we want to be.
It's the times we start over.
When we leave the past behind
And look only to the future.
When we stitch up the wounds
And once again restore our hope
And our faith
And our invincibility.

The human experience
Is feeling.
Feeling it all.

She could die any day.
Just tip-toe away.
                                                                But what would they say?
They still say she's okay.
                                                                      ...They don't say "please stay."
They cry when good men die.
They cry when they are scared.
They cry all the time.
They cry here.
They cry there.
So why?
                                                                                             Why?
Why for her,                                                               they don't cry?

Here she will fly                                                     between fire and sky,
                                                                                         in an ocean
her only air being devotion.
Life&Death; her only notion.
Is it bad to wish for a potion?
A spell to make this spell go?
She may try so-,
                                                                                  but I just don't know.
Why?
                                                                                              Why?
                                                                                  Why can't they see?

The lost,
the falling,
she's calling
she gives them a sign,
she loses grasp of her life's line.
Why?
                                                                                              Why?
                                                                                  Why don't they cry?

Cry for her.
Care for her!
See her here!
                                                                                         Please..
                                                                                                   one tear.
Suppress her deepest fear.
Her pain is not mere.
She WILL fall,
if there is no bridge,
between the buildings in her mind.
She WILL tumble,
down,
if no one holds her hand,
and she get's left behind.
Save her.
Savor her.
For like this she will not last.
Deprived of what she needs,
internally she bleeds.
                                                                                             Cry
for just one day.
Prove to her,
she will be okay.
Teach her,
how to no be alone.
Love her,
don't leave her on her own.
                                                                                             Cry
Don't lie to her.
Don't act so refined.
She knows those lies,
she isn't blind.
And for once,
just for once,
when her thoughts have intertwined,
I beg of you,
I plead of you,
no one leave her behind.
