What an email,
Can reveal!
Embedded within the message,
What simple words unravel;
From where, and whom, they have traveled!
How much one can extrapolate
From mere more than chatter,
It would be astounding if not frightening
That you can tap out so much
From just dry lightning.

Our hands,
like roots of trees -
each finger, each tendril
gripping like stitches
in clothing.

My arm wrapped around your belly as
I map my way around your body
with tender traces,
with delicate whispers.

Your hair feels like a sea of silk;
A faint smell of showers
is all I can sense.

My heart beats behind yours.
I track the time with the
synchronicity of our beating.
Hours, minutes, and seconds
all lose meaning,
melting into a singular point in time.

All I know is you.
The map of you I carefully carved
on your
blank canvas.

The world fades away
as mist during a blinding sun.
All that is left are
two hearts,
a map,
a cartographer, and
you.

I am lost at sea.
This moment is my anchor.
You are my compass.

Fingers small this is the part of
Falling in Love that does not hurt
grab my hand for a second
(mine are cold as always)
tracing fingers I know you are
boiling
Because I am boiling
and there is nothing to be done other than to
Stare
and act unaware
you pretend to not see me dancing
the way I can dance when I am free
moving hips and legs and arms like melted sugar and heat
you pretend to look away
coffee dripping down my throat
all my books are stained and a bit torn
I am not gentle with books or bags or clothes

But oh
I am so gentle with living and you
here we go

Intense energy, emitting from your prisms

             Light reflecting, multi-dimensional beauty
you see, you see, right through me

Hold it close, oh so close, study it, like constellations
                                           in a musky, starry sky

Slightly opened, pour your soul into mine
                                   fingerprints trace, my horizon

Your eyes are wide, engulfing mine
          caging my heart,
                   Taming the wild, beast within

tracing bones, like the branches of a tree,
but oh do they brush against me

                      inhale//exhale, inhale//exhale

rise, shallow, heavy breaths, put me to rest

                            with your heavenliness
