I could never stop at just one tattoo
To signify you, if
I started,
Because each tribute could
Never come close to the greatest
Symbol:

My skin;

You're in the wrist without scar lines,
The arm without needle tracks,
The dent in my smile,
My mini half dimple and
Every laughter line I could never erase
Frankly, my dear,
You complete my face.

So any tribute;
Any Scorpion
Moth
Pokeball Rose
quote,
Or aptly chosen sloth,
Would never come close to the
Gaps in-between:

You're every drop of blood that has not spilled
You're the heartbeat I couldn't
Still, because your face
Was too hurt in my head.
You're in the fact that I'm not dead.

So, in a way, there's no point etching you into my skin , my derp,
Because, you're already, irrevocably,
There.
(You're even in my uncut hair)
You are
The sea
Your tides
Washing upon
My hearts
Shore
Leaving pieces
Of salty
Driftwood
Burning brightly
In spectacular
Shades of
Green
and
Blue
The ashes
Resting in
My chest
Cavity where
My soul
Peacefully resides

wondering how you win at love
do you have to wait
until it's over?
what's the victory then
in losing it?

somebody needs to think
of some new metaphors, because
all these tired old scratched-up symbols
lead to dead ends

forget about falling, stop calling it
an end, stop calling it a means
just stop calling it anything
but love

let it describe itself, let it climb
up its own legs, let it be
what you will it, what you feel it to be

let it be what you feel
can't the victory just be
the feeling of holding on
and staying?
losing, falling, calling it anything but
plain old groundbreaking
love
is what it really is
because seriously, enough with the melodrama

Eyes of glass, in the ocean, deep and blue.
Like fabric of white-
worn to grey.
No where in this world are there people to shiver,
yet the people, we live without day.
No morn' to see.
No rooster to crow.
No light to show our way,
yet we as humans',
lives continue,
while our mother's love makes us okay.
There be..
there be..
moonlight..
dear be..
lukewarm water,
so in which it sway.
If I may run,
I may yonder,
for I'm a mere symbol,
a minnow.
To which will force up ponder,
if rather or not,
the fishy is gay.
