Life will go on with or without you. Accept what is and let go of what isn't. Stop trying to find happiness in the past. Stop picturing your future with someone who no longer wants to be there. Appreciate the people around you. Take your time. Breathe. It's okay. Create a new future.

Suffocating suffocating
Trying to breath but nothing is inhaling
Learning to walk
Learning to talk
This is all going to be so new, when I am learning, without you.
Teach me teach me
Learn what it’s like to be me
Learning to walk
Learning to talk
All this, this whole scheme, is a dramatic brew

As I look back on times that have long past,
And think about the good times that we shared,
I start to realize why it didn’t last:
Because we only focused on who cared.
It’s hard at first to let the memories go,
Sometimes I want to relive everyday,
But over time they’ll melt like fallen snow,
And happiness will come in different ways.
I’ll take delight in someone else’s glance,
Allowing light to flood into my life.
The butterflies inside me do a dance,
No more I’ll be weighed down by all the strife.
I cannot wait for what life has in store.
My heart wide-open; wings outstretched to soar.

I try to make it worth it
Don't you see that im devasted
Try to tell you who I am
Meant for life
cause I'm gonna be me
im gonna be free
But you ignore me
lock up your heart from me
You never let it go free
I beg you
Even go down on my knees
Just listen
Open up your heart for me
that is all i need
you dont let me be happy
its because of you
that im frown upon
every time i stand up
you push me down
But i tell you this know
im stronger now
im wiser now
i dont look back in my past
i go toward the future
but i stand in the present
that is what i nuture
i meant to be me
i meant to befree
and now you lock up in syphony
now im not what i use to be
im here were im meant to be

Loving you was like being
in the eye of a tornado
Somehow it felt safe there,
in the midst of it all
As you gained momentum
I looked out at the world
crumbling around me

It took me a long time to realize that
being inside your storm was not safe
It would only be a matter of time
before you would take me down with you
In order to regain my own strength
I had to make my way to the outside

I had to let you destroy
every part of me
Intentionally
So that I could put myself
back together again
The way I was meant to be

Its not even hard to fall back into what we had.
But it feels new, somehow.

Your hands burn me to the touch.
that kind of flame you just want to keep burning
Keep touching
fresh wounds,
they'll heal eventually.
When a star reaches death it expands
When it’s core can no longer stand up against gravity
It bursts
The particles of the once bright and flaming ball of light
Drift off into space
Slowly forming a new heavenly body
Something beautiful
Something better
Let me be a fixed luminous point in the sky
A remote incandescent body like the sun
Let me float in space alone and start anew
Let me be a star

Oh well hello there
old friend.
That familiar blank space,
asking to be filled with...
something.
It was time to start fresh again
anyways.
Writing as often as I do can
start to feel like being followed
down a dark alley with no exits.
The past becomes inescapable.
New job
New house
New people
New phone
New
New
New.
This time I vow to only write
when I catch that perfect breeze,
read a good poem,
kiss my boyfriend.
Keep it
