Between the oceans deep-sea shades
Hides in the abysmal ground
The darkness whom the light craves
Down in the deep-sea fishes cave

A riddle to all brave explorers
Since nothing but shadows appear
But crawling under erratic orders
The invisible deep-sea fish hears

No single movement of alien light
Nor living that sneaks through the dark
Escapes the glooming deep-sea fishes eyes
That see every enlightening spark
a union is granted a pie
and cleanse their rye
when a tunic can sequester mobs
only cries in these houses pale crumbs
as they succumb to climes in poles
that keep their fry hush in throes
and below the ground frowns peal the town
as ice is temperately bound
whether ponds here roast white supremacy
as rhetoric was xenophobia
and rose from their chaos
now the national street
that sought their limb
and the financier in London
a word on democracy

Some decades back, in actual fact,
Being heard was feared.
Corded phones and dial tones
Were oft routinely cleared;

The worry was a 'wire-tap',
Domestic speech taboo.
The rumor was, in essence, that
If said, the White House knew.

Nowadays, this fear we lack,
And cheerfully obey.
Now we ask, "Hey, wire-tap,
What's the weather like today?"
A poem about technology.
#3 in the Distant Dystopia anthology.

I guess my heart spying
My eyes ask
He does not answer
The answer was found
By your heart
the answer of my question found at your heart

Righteous men cannot rest
Cannot laugh in light no more
Burdened by that shameful crest
Who yielded from the corps

The spy for two sides
With two separate cause
And even now he is uncertain
Who’s spy he really was

He wished they’d heed
To what he feared
But none so deaf
As men who won’t hear

Shut upon himself
Sowing not upon harm
Though for simple whiles
For lost kisses and smiles
He layed his weapon to arms

Though never to learn
Their power burned
Forgetting the peace he brung
Be thy sleep
Calm and deep
Such weight on a mind so young

Innocent hands
Spread like disease
Though the resting land
Was put at ease

Tragedy not heard
With each bellow and wail
Though through this sight
Peace did prevail

And with this night
His strife began
No longer a child
Though no longer a man

their house was covered with leather flowers,
and honeysuckle wet with dew.
the scent of lavender and honey mixed into the air,
the milk they had gotten earlier to drink was spilt all over the garden,
the window sills were bright yellow,
the door white, the walls caramel.

the sheeps they herded were sound asleep,
the butterflies were as colorful as the scarf they wore every day,
and the birds chirping welcomed every stranger.

i spied on them long enough to realize that they’re not hiding anything.
peace can be found;
but only in the mist of the forest,
in the bottom of your heart,
the roots of your roses.

In the solitude of London trying to forget the past
The chaotic mess of my life played out at last
A forgotten trench coat steps out the shadows
Towards a romance of glorious tomorrows

Standing tall by the lamppost at twilight
Cigerette in hand, collar turned up tight
The pale moon shines down onto the street
And lights a faint mist around your feet

He pulls back his hat by its brim
Grey eyes beckon me over to him
He takes me in the folds of his coat
I swoon as my heart starts to float
Written through the eyes of a women

I spy the rising sun
How it peeks above the horizon
Pouring it's radiance all over our world
It's gentle warmth
Filling every jagged and rugged crevice of earth
I spy the soil beneath
How many civilizations
Have flourished upon it
Does it still carry the footprints
Of Adam and eve
Are the fragments of past
Still hiding beneath it
I spy the night sky
the profound infinity
In which it abounds
And wonder
If those blazing stars
Still carry those that are gone
Does that mean
Our hearts may stop beating one day
But our soul is eternal
Till infinity and beyond
