Those who choose to dig deeper
must be willing to accept the dirt as truth
and the mess as proof
The only resolve is sharing tha loot
with those who seek not to be aloof
those who can recycle
improve reuse
Otherwise your pursuit becomes futile and vanity in roots
That holds you trapped in a place that never bore fruit.

Like a Pirate
Tied to a ship
who's sunken into
frozen winter drifts
Yelling at everyone who passes by
Uneffected Bitter Colder Less Productive
An Ivory Tusk Burned in private on public telivision
What is gained in the retelling and redistribution of historic ills should always be measured by the need and desire to cultivate future enrichment and wisdom from the source not fashioned into a rusted sword to beheld in anger and revenge...
That is to say the value in revitalizing history is never found in giving it teeth but giving it light and understanding.

Crossing the road
When I was eight years old,
I was sure that cars would stop
At the little girl in red.

From the other side,
The stretch seems like forever;
Running fast from something,
Or someone I wasn't sure of.

Mom would scold,
Friends would shout cold;
Warm gustling winds,
Passing swiftly was home.

Crossing the road,
Now I'm twice as old,
I'm sure the car didn't miss me,
Because I missed it instead.

I have always walked on pedestrian lines, so if I die my insurance would compensate for it. And if I ever do ー it won't be an accident.

The person sat by me,
Is calling somebody,
He's saying 'I love you'
Is that so unusual,
To feel so alone in that moment?

The lovers at the front,
Have had more than enough
Of their parents' scrutiny
So they commit mutiny,
And consequences are left unspoken.

The cold condensation
Hides all condescension,
From every pedestrian
With bitter complexions
Who braved the cold and are frozen.

To be without you

Means nothing to want

Attention.

Seems I'm jaded...

My eyes are Abyssinian

Searching for red laser

Point

On the walls,

On pedestrian faces,

And none will ever

Ever do.

But to be without you

Means I am

Nothing.   Wanting

Attention

Nothing     Wanting

You.

Are you in them rivers

In these herds?

These lakes of

                     Lips

Kissing the silence of melancholy?

Means nothing

To want

Your poetry

Feeling much much more

Than

Pedestrian.

It was one afternoon in New Jersey, quite early,
We were finding a spot on a mall parking lot,
Heels were rushing, people were crossing
Mothers were hurrying...their kids following.
We still waited, yet there were no more...what for?
Our car was not moving, my sister, still was not driving.
Why was she hesitating?
Clearly, sidewalks on both ends were empty
So I raised  my head, a nod or two, then lowered my view.
There were two tiny feet...walking...tiny steps were progressing
A creature, gray, brown, furry...its eyes flitting, like it was wary
Blue sky gave no flurry...pavement was crossed with no hurry...
I was wide eyed...I realized, as I admired,
<{ <{ <{ <{ <{
Upright or hunched, a squirrel is also a pedestrian...

i guess life is a crossing
and people keep passing

the lord made me black and white
with a light on either side

people keep passing, hippidy hop
they keep crossing, hippidy hop
and thats what happens on me all day long

people keep passing, hippidy hop
they keep crossing, hippidy hop
and then the cars come along

there are those who wait for the green man to show
the mom tells her kids 'thats only when you should go'

There are those who don't think a lot
'You could have died', 'it was worth a shot'

There are those who play in and out
Opportunists trying to move about

There are those who just have all the time
Testing nerves, begging the wheels to crime

people keep passing, hippidy hop
they keep crossing, hippidy hop
and thats what happens on me all day long

people keep passing, hippidy hop
they keep crossing, hippidy hop
and then the cars come along

people keep passing, hippidy hop
they keep crossing, hippidy hop
and thats what happens on me all day long
